    In this example of the housing market, the poor are entirely priced out of the market by the rich.

    Not everything that goes into inflation are commodities.

    Yes, but it is proof that it is MAXIMUM WAGE, not MINIMUM WAGE, which drives inflation.

  7. Silicon Valley.....well, I'm in the Silicon Forest, somewhat north, but yes, my housing is much more reasonable, as is my food and gas.

  9. Are you kidding me? In my Software Dev career, it took me 20 years to make $50/hr, and right now I'm at $45/hr in a bridging contract waiting to go to $70/hr in a couple of weeks.

    Contrast that with a $100 electrician who actually gets to move away from the desk once in a while, and there is no contest.

  10. You might call it fake news, but one man who did a heck of a lot of research into this and turned it into a series of very successful TV shows has actually set up a scholarship program around it.

    Yes, that's my question.

    If you're targeting nerds, wouldn't it be better to produce a set of snap on add ons for perscription glasses? Say, a camera, a laser readout, and bluetooth speakers?

    Hmm, somebody's had to have had that idea before. I'm off to research eyeglass bluetooth speakers....

    It's amazing how *anybody* thinks this is a good idea given the low wages Amazon delivery drivers make.

    What I really want in a laptop is NO screen- a keyboard and a projector that I can adjust to the resolution, size, and shape of the blank wall I find.
