I use it on a box to run apps that I developed that our M$ monkeys haven't matched(or can't) match.
...I just bring out a new app coded in Perl that the green suiters can't live without.
How do these things relate to Linux? No one's arguing that it isn't a good development environment, but perl runs in Win32 fairly easily.
You say superior services, not platforms, but it sounds like you're taking programs that could otherwise be cross-platform using them to push Linux for its own sake. Or, are you doing something with perl that would tie it to Linux?
(Ready to be modded into oblivion for implying that Linux should exist just for its own sake...)
The balloon is sitting RIGHT ON TOP OF THE GODDAMNED MOVIE IMAGE. It goes away after a few seconds of frantic clicking...
Good job. As we all know, clicking frantically is the correct way to solve every problem. If that doesn't work, try rebooting, or possibly kicking your computer. Remember to take our cup out of the built-in cup holder first.
Worse, I enter 23 hello on a new line in Word, and hit enter, it auto indents, adds a 24 and positions the cursor after. !?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?
Whoops! You kicked your keyboard and broke the punctuation keys instead. The computer is that big beige thing on the floor. No, not the foot pedal. To the left. There you go.
By the way, why were you writing "23 hello" in your document?
It frustrates me how web services are often described as revolutionary, when built on technologies such as UDDI and WDSL which in turn are based on relatively mature technologies such as XML and HTTP.
Remember, revolutionary also means to go in circles.
This is flamebait, why is it modded up?
Mitnik was not a script kiddie, he was the exact opposite. In fact, the very notion of script kiddies didn't exist at the time.
Leave it to slashdot to mention someone's blog, newsgroup, and peronsonal FAQ before the fact that they have a nationally syndicated humor column read by millions weekly.
He was held without a bail hearing for four and a half years. That is WRONG no matter what his crime was.
Did he deserve his time in prison? I think so. Did he deserve to have the U.S. government trample his basic rights and freedoms? No.
Read the sample chapter that someone posted a link to earlier. Remember 'Free Kevin'? Did you think it was just because everyone thought breaking the law was Good Thing?
I am beginning to suspect that my choice of coca-cola cans as reflectors on the Yagi antennae may be affecting signal quality...
Brain: It proved that radio was a powerful tool.
And now, Pinky, the advance of technology has brought us an even more powerful tool. Do you know what that is?
It rains from the sky and runs through rivers, so I could get it at no charge from there. Why doesn't the store give it to me for free?
They're restricting public access to the water!
No, I'm doing this from my WinCE handheld, you insensitive clod.
shouldn't exist for its own sake. bleh.

This article makes my brain hurt.

How could I have forgotten redmeat?
"I like my coffee like I like my women.... anally." --some comedian I forget.
This is a joke, right? Mobelix, Obelix, Asterix... Admit it, michael finally gave up on real articles altogether, and now he's just messing with us.
Because we elect people to make these kinds of decisions for us, and they do not always listen to what we want.
I imagine it would go something like, "Keyboards suck! What was that fucktard thinking!"
We get it right! It's the WORLD that's wrong!
(the karma hit was worth it)
... And that's how CowboyNeal got elected president of Geneva.
wide-band time-reversal antennas ... simply don't exist yet.
And in related news, still no flying cars.
So far, this new millennium sucks.

Pinky: Ummm... the rubber band?
Wait until the major news networks catch onto this one. Tomorrow on Today: The World Trade Center falls as terrorists attack.
