    You'll also notice that those places also tend to be lit in lots of blue and a bit of red — my guess is because these are the colours for which our eyes have the lowest resolution. The grandparent notwithstanding, however, the link between strippers and solid-state storage was not the subject of a question on this Slashdotter's mind; nevertheless, I will probably now be plagued by a most obscene image in my head every time I insert a CompactFlash card into my camera.

    I've recovered photos by hand for family members who've accidentally nuked their memory cards (did it the hard way with a hex editor, dd and cut). So wouldn't dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/ memory-card bs=1K count= card-size-in-kib suffice?

    Perhaps they do use spam. I've received a number of cryptic junk e-mails recently — not selling anything, just (mis)quoting Shakespeare or some random numbers. Though I figure it's more likely related to criminality than covert intelligence.

    Something was broken recently in FC's RPM... hopefully it's fixed by now. Otherwise I've never had any trouble with RPM except that of my own doing. And rolling your own RPMs isn't that hard once you've done it a few times.
    I am running Fedora core 6, where is the problem?
    Mainly in the heads those who hate or resent Red Hat.

    I practically have to type everything using the text entry box whenever I write equations.
    Believe me, OOo's stripped-down-LaTeX is the best feature of its forumla editor. Get fluent in it, don't bother with that crazy palette.
