  1. Something sort of similar on American Airlines Information Gathering · · Score: 1

I have a British passport and a few months after 911 I flew to the US, I had no problems going through customs. The trouble started when I came back to Canada, I am a Canadian citizen but also a British citizen. They took one look at my passport and they had me answer many questions which took way to long to enter my own country of birth.

  2. AOM Board Game on Boardgame Spins On Computer Strategy Games Rated · · Score: 1

I recently bought the AOM board game at a whim, since I simply wanted to see if a PC game could convert successfully. The answer for me was ..

    Sort of.

My friends and I had to make a few changes that we felt would improve the game and also make it more tied with the PC version.

We felt the age advancements were pointless since the only real benefits were 1 new hero to purchase and some extra resources. On the first turn you could buy the strongest myth unit and attack, making it hard for the other person to ever get a foothold against this tactic if they chose to spend the resources on something other then thier strongest myth unit.

Well to cut things short we made some adjustments that only allowed certain buildings and units to be purchased when you reached a certain age. This seemed to make the game more interesting.

I do want to know if the warcraft board game is worth purchasing?

  3. Re:Not the greatest of ideas... on Videogame Strategy Guides On DVD - A Good Idea? · · Score: 1

OMG, That was the second and might I say last strategy guide I bought for that very reason. I spent $25 cdn for a guide that told me nothing I needed to know, only that I needed to logon to their webpage to get what I needed. Since my PC and TV are in completely seperate rooms this was not helpful. I promptly returned the guide and then sent the company that created the guide a irratating email of my complaints. There response was that it was what the public wanted. YAAA what PUBLIC, let me guess his/her name is the all mighty BUCK.

  4. A few games I remember that used the system clock on Clock Watching For Improved Gameplay? · · Score: 2, Interesting

This reminds me of a few games that have used the system clock in ingenious ways.

In the Curse of Monkey Island On the first Island there is a clock tower that displays the same time as your system clock and if you click on it Threepwood would say the time to you (the time is ... at the beep, BEEP)

Dungeon Keeper 2 would tell you a funny one liner (can't remember what exactly) if you were playing the game in the early hours of the morning, somewhere around 3am I beleive.

Warcraft 2 would have christmas lights on the building ons christmas.

Either No Regret or No Remorse would play christmas music on Christmas day.

  5. Re:Already been done... $15/m for all games on Games on Demand · · Score: 2, Informative

This service seems to be doing very well in Canada, the service is, I believe $15 per month (not per game)and you can download 1 or all games. And the list of games is impressive since the games are not all 5+ year old titles ( Civilization III, Star Trek Armada II). Check it out at http:\\www.gamesmania.com

  6. Intuit Canada on TurboTax Activation Fiasco · · Score: 1

I had this very issue last year with QuickTax by Inuit, I installed the software registered. Before I recieved all of my tax receipts I had a harddrive die in my machine. When I reinstalled my OS and then the Quicktax software I was unable to register again or re-activate the previous registration. It took me 2 and half weeks to get a new activation. To do this I had to Fax the original reciept the Cd cover and the UPC code. Many many hours on their irrating automated phone system and my curse words later I was able to finish my taxes. I will not be buying their software again this year.
