    If the first tier is not working for you, ask for the next level. If that fails, contact corporate customer service with details of your problem and how support has failed you, and what you need to have the problem fixed. I once contacted investors relations with a horrible tail of Microsoft support to Microsoft, and they called me back the next day with orders to fix all problems. Of course the tier 3 that called me was far better, than their outsourced support that tried to sell me pirated Windows key instead of activating a valid machine.

    National Grid has capped the amount of energy people/companies/government buildings can put into the grid in Nantucket, MA way below then any other part of the state. One would think that due to high demands in the summer for energy in a tourist town they would be for more people adding energy to the grid, since there is talk about running new power cables to the island. NG has the contract for fixing the lines in the region and is the main energy broker, unfortunately. But with their recent double price increase people are switching to cheaper brokers and adding more solar to their homes.

    Add these to your list: System 76, Intel NUC, Dell (at least, the systems that you can order Linux preloaded on them), and mobo manufactures that sell to consumer system builders.

    That or use Adobe's Creative Cloud, which lets you share and edit documents in RT. Create a canvas in one of their drawing programs and treat is as a whiteboard online,then invite X number of people to mark it up and view.

    Thunderbolt was developed by Intel & Apple and was formerly known as Light Peak. Not Sony. It can offer up to 10Gbits per channel, which USB 3 can't even do.

    Install WINE / CrossOver and run the Windows Programs directly. So far every program I have tried works great. I have WINE installed via Macports, but I mainly use it to run Foobar2000 on my Macs.

    I found resetting the NVRAM fixing the problem. The process: 1) Shut down your Mac. 2) Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. 3) Turn on your Mac. 4) Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound. 5) Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time. 6) Release the keys.

    Reminds me of the Sling Box, which does the same thing for all channels at no monthly cost, will stream to all devices locally or internationally, comes with Chromecast, Roku, AmazonFire support and has a built-in dvr. How is this Sling TV better?

    Disable access permissions to location data using the program Advanced Permissions on Android, or turn your GPS off. Turn off Wifi so they won't track your Mac address. No more location tracking, problem solved.

    Why not mandate faster changes? Like cut in half in 1 year. Yes it may be painful and costly (if there is no tax incentive) but the results are worth it.

    I know a family that recently paid Comcast 15k to run a Comcast line down a private road and to their home, and most the the town already had service if they wanted it. So, Comcast does not connect everyone, unless they are willing to pay if you live in a area deemed not profitable enough to run cable to the homes.

    Yes, but that is because the developers are now required to test their own code before it goes to testing, so that things don't break as much during each sprint of coding.

    My 2012 Nexus 7 was getting unbelievable slow, then I did a factory reset and it was speedy again. I, also use tools to tweak what programs run at start up, which has helped a lot, too.
