    Last three project my company outsourced to local US companies were a disaster. It doesnt matter if the outsource team is in US or not, because the developers dont give a crap about the project they are working on.

    Nevertheless, suppose I found out that it was a trojan and that I presented the evidence, am I liable for my property? Or even better, can MS be liable for their product (kinda like tabacco companies)? If yes, lets sue MS for giving us technologies to 'steal' IP :-). Or maybe I can claim that I have an addiction and cant stop downloading mp3s :-)

    What about this: my computer gets infected with this brand new trojan/proxy server for P2P network due to remote exploit in Windows. Am I or MS guilty of a copyright infringment?

    you are a moron. If I lend my car to a friend and he gets into a lets say DUI accident or gets a speeding ticket, I will definitely be not liable.

    I think Ikea sells a chair like that, the basic principle behind it is that to keep your balance on the chair you keep your spine/back in constant movement.

    Friend of mine has one of those and initially they seem to be very uncomfortable but once you get used to them the back pains will be gone and you will not be as tired at the end of the long day in office.

    What world do you live in? It's as difficult to steal and register a car in CA as it is to rip a copy protected cd. For instance: one of my clients had somebody come in with stolen ID's and buy a 40.000 car. They found out after 3 months when payments have not been made to the lender :-)

    I have worked with various 'law enforcment' agencies on various IT projects (Databases) and trust me these guys dont give a damn about privacy policies or information sharing laws.

    Most of the time it goes like this: hey do you have any information about such and such? Ok, give it to me.

    The only reason there are no 'global law enforcement' databases about all of us is the sheer incompetence and beaurocracy of the public/government institutions...

    Friend of mine is using RAV in his security appliance based on OpenBSD. Supposedly RAV had realy good licensing terms as compared to other 'professional' AV companies. Anyhow, talk about fate, he finaly dumped MS completely in favor of Open/Free BSD and then a year later MS is back ;-)

    and because most of you guys suck at it does not make it any less important...

    I have friends that had their children start using computers very early on (2 years or so)....

    Anyhow, at age 3-4 it started becoming apparent that these kids had strongly under-devloped fine motor skills. Of couse they could read, write and spell good...but they were much worse at painting and other 'hand' activities in their age group.

    And before anybody comes up with this 'in 30 years everybody will use computers for everything' responses, consider one thing: Would you like your Doctor or Dentist be one of those kids ;-)??
