Oh, and also, their variable names for functions suck. they're inconsistent in usage across functions (sometimes "count" means number of indices and other times number of bytes) and are, themselves, vague at best.
The OpenGL docs do not explain a lot of issues such as what happens with edge cases (primitive restart using drawArrays for example last time I looked wasn't supposed to work but didn't say it didn't) and how long did DX have tessellation and OpenGL didn't?
I use OpenGL at work and as much as I prefer it over DirectX, the ARB (opengl board that decides on additions/updates/changes) sometimes takes a while to introduce new features that DirectX gets much earlier and they sometimes make questionable choices on how things are supported and the OpenGL docs are sort of terrible and vague.
I'd tell the firm "too bad". It shouldn't be up to the NYSE to make sure companies don't do something stupid. Back in time a ways, when someone tried to game the system and then failed hard they would be ignored and forgotten. Now, with bailouts and do-overs and participation trophies, we ignore hard working americans who don't expect handouts and reward those who don't want to take responsibility for their actions.
Either Senators are all assholes (probable, either way) and they just strap on whatever they can to fast-track legislation (should be illegal, tbh) or they really don't want this bill to go through but don't want to vote "no". Really? Addition to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act? That's not gonna pass and has absolutely nothing to do with cybersecurity...
Penny Arcade has been starting to put out professional clothing under the "First Party" clothing like. They have polo shirts and ties, I believe. You'll look professional but still show that you aren't a stuck-up suit-wearing ambercrombie-douce wannabe. And they do look spiffy. Just get some kahkis to go with it. You don't really need the tie unless you're meeting with clients and want to wear a button down shirt which I think they have now as well.
Aside from a few Comedy Central programs, I don't seem much here that I'd miss. MTV is full of BS "reality" TV and Nick is full of kids shows that are usually no Netfix if you need them and, being kids shows, they probably won't care if they're watching reruns (or notice). So, really, what does Viacom have that is worth paying increased fees anyway? It's not like South Park costs that much to produce (maybe FCC fees?).
Them: "Hello, how may I help you today?"
Me: "Please opt-in me on any blacklists started, managed, or endorsed by any religious individual or organization. Thank you."
Them: "...okay?"
So, according to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC-FX#Software) PC-FX had 62 games and Pioneer Laseractive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_LaserActive#Software) had 49 (including region specifics), that means its ~$164 per game. How does that sound like a deal? You could probably scrounge around the internet for 1/4 of that...
How about taking the rounded corners option or rounded rectangle. Anyone can easily draw a rounded rectangle in a drawing app for the last, what, 15 years? Apple is blowing smoke out their asses.
In his defense, if a lot of these patents seem overly obvious (slide to unlock on a TOUCH device? c'mon...) then he should be throwing these lawsuits out.
He wasn't underwater; he was on the Ike. And he is a bit crazy, though. I'll bring up the lean into/away from a turn thing next time we talk and see what he says.
My girlfriend dragged me to the Rochester Teen Book Festival in Rochester, NY and she wanted me to read something from an author that'd be there beforehand. I asked her for a good fantasy or sci-fi book and she pointed me to Fablehaven. It's about a couple kids sent to stay with their grandfather in Connecticut and they learn of a secret world of magic creatures that exist in the real world but away from civilization. I thoroughly enjoyed it, evn though it was meant for middle-school-aged readers. I ended up buying the 5-book set at the festival.
As stated in another post below, I've had my Nexus ~3 months after I noticed it and I initially noticed it after a 4-hour car drive. I don't know if it just got to a noticeable level at that point, or if it was really the first time I left it on the same screen but I had done that dozens of times (including 10-hour drives from NY to VA) and never had a problem on my Droid X.
It doesn't look horrible, I said it was noticeable if I was using it up close and added some artifacts. I still love my phone (aside from the burn-in).

That's why I loved Computer Science in college; more full-quarter projects with almost no tests meant I learned a lot more. I spent more time working on my project and less time worrying if I could recite a line-for-line perfect copy of a quick sort (which is built into almost every API nowadays using generics/templates/etc) or determine which set of code lines would throw an exception because of some obscure rule that was based on how the API worked with specific inputs (which, give me a copy of the documentation, I can go look it up in 20 seconds).
So, is this USD or AUD? Why do multiple nationalities decide on "dollar"? ffs (my $6 figure was USD) It's 11.75 USD for a 3D during peak time. 9.75 USD for 2D during peak
What?

I have young cousins that watch the same DVDs OVER AND OVER ad nauseum. There's enough on Netflix to keep them occupied, regardless.

And yet, his comment said nothing about liking Obama; why bring it up?
They do; there's a tax on rewritable media.
Customerspliotation? Are you fucking kidding me? Blogosphere was bad enough. Internet, stop making up stupid words.

My Navy brother yells at us when we use boat to refer to a non-submarine, too. Boat = underwater, ship = above water.
Next thing you know they'll say the code was written in javascript or visual basic...
