The problem with your statment is that MOST anime doesn't have tentacle monsters raping 4 year olds. People have this stereotype that a lot of anime is gross and unwatchable when it really isnt. Now, there is a lot of crap anime out there, but there are also a LOT of really good anime. Most of which at least rival anything that comes out of the US in terms of quality, story, and un-lame-ness :/

Wouldn't it be worthwhile for you to have it EASIER for yourself? If you are worried about it getting out there, too damn late. I'd rather them put into place better security for my data and use this ID card than leave it the way it is. This ID card would make our lives that much easier and just because of a few problems that COULD happen, you are all against it. Seems short sighted to me. Frankly, I think it would be easier to keep secure all my info in one place than all my info in 10 places. Yes, it would be easier to get all my info that way but there's not much you could do about that.

I say get the ID card (in britain and in the USA) and make better security to control the information.

Hell, let's just not have any system of keeping track of who is in our country. I think it's just as secure having my info in one place than in 10. At least it's easier to secure. Yes, easier to break in, but if there are 10 places my info is stored right now (SSN, Drivers ID, bank acct. etc) then if they get one of those, according to the crazies at slashdot, I'm screwed for life. Now, put it all in one place. They break in, I'm "screwed" but I was before even if they got part of that info. ok, if people complain about DRM and people using *.doc formats and everything, why do people also use PDF? You aren't supposed to be able to make a PDF without buying Acrobat, it isn't open source (that I know of), and even if it were, I have to download acrobat just to view it. Why can't people just use an HTML based format so I can view the stuff I get from the web directly in my browser without opening a different program to do so? The people who bitch about DRM are very picky. When something is free to view (but not to create... unless you want to use Adobe's online PDF maker, which is really annoying) you all bow graciously. But when Microsoft doesn't want to open their format, you guys start to cry. I see it as the same thing, and it seems like most of this community decides to play along. PLEASE STOP PUTTING STUFF IN PDF FORMAT! Or at least have an HTML version as well :/

Apple makes all the hardware and software. And because they make the hardware, the monopoly rules don't really apply. Who else sells a user level OS for Macs? I don't know of any... You mac people are worse than console fanboys at times. The GUI portion of OSX is awful. There isn't much that they could do to make it worse.

What semi-saavy user is going to be able to go do that? They really do everything half-assed on the GUI side, don't they?
