If you wanna run a Mac using batteries, it's better to buy ibook. Why?
- it has almost the same specs
- it has a screen, a keyboard and a trackpad (mice)
- it runs on batteries by default
- it has no cables... it's wireless:P
I wonder WHY would anyone bother to do such a silly thing...
If you want a Mac Mini running on batteries and with no cables you should have bought an ibook.
If Ahead had released NeroLinux 2 or 3 years ago, there would have been a maket for it.
At that time there were no easy to use GUI CD/DVD burner apps for linux.
Today K3b has the user base that would care for a "nero for linux".
I do agree that VHS is mostly dead and HDTV quality is amazing. But how many Audio DVDs do you own?...
That's the thing about standards and "new standards", it won't be a "real" standard until most of the people begin to use it.
Another funny thing about standards is: they really must be a good thing, because there are so many of them, even when the purpose is the same. I guess everyone remembers the recent DVD-RW DVD+RW silly, and yet important, dispute.
Why only have one standard when you can have a lot more?? And again, Why?????
I wish they had found a real good replacement for floppies instead.
Regex rules, but I wouldn't know anything if it wasn't for this book in portuguese:

No matter how long you wait, the day after you buy/upgrade your PC it will be already obsolete.
We shall not forget that, as any other enterprise, Intel's business is to make MONEY. Cutting edge technology is just a plus...
It's in their best interest to push forward the their latest family of products. This is how Intel works and obsolescence is carefully planed by them.
It's up to us, as consumers, to set the pace and not get swept by the low-tech fears. An upgrade is really only necessary when your PC performance gets in the way of you doing your usual tasks.
Therefore, we must keep in our minds that obsolescence is dictated by our needs, not by theirs.

I just love the way that the guys at nvidia refer to this ATI technology. It's not CrossFire, It's MissFire.
FSCK **AA!

It seems that this driver's OpenGL headers are a little buggy, but the solution was given by NVIDIA employee in this thread at nvnews.net forum.
Does anyone know if there will be a Linux version available at the same release date?
Will there ever be a Linux Version???
My magic 8 ball went throught X-Ray 3 times...
Why???
Maybe it's because it has a classic round shape bomb look...

My friend "BBG" wrote it.
I cannot understand why american companies are in this suing fury about copyright/trademark infringement.
It is really sad to see the world of business going this way.
They should try to look at it from a new angle and see the benefits they could have in a joint venture or by adopting a new business model.
In the Windows(argh) world I really couldn't care less about what card to use.
ATI or NVIDIA, it's just a matter of taste and/or faith.
But in the Linux world NVIDIA still rules.
And it's not that NVIDIA's cards are better, but they at least have a descent Linux driver.
The bottom line is: "If you use Linux, the best choice still is a NVIDIA card!"
Thunderbird is not working on RedHat 8.0
I get the following error when I try to run it:
(thunderbird-bin:10551): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkdrawable-x11.c:787 drawable is not a pixmap or window
Funny thing is that Firebird runs smoothly

Oh boy... Those SGI's hack would make real nice freezers!!! yum
They are very important!!! Get quality cables.Get monitor cables with ferrite filters.Otherwise you might get a ghosty picture.
One: drivers for Linux wouldn't be a problem if the knuckleheads hardware manufacturers also made drivers for Linux.
:)
Two: The article's author must think that a computer is just like a tv-set or a blender
Hey!! watch out!! If you tell'er to burn some CDs she might put'em in the toaster
