Duke's brother, the Mars scientist Gerhard Nukem, has mysteriosly disappeared.
Was he kidnapped? Is there a relation to the strange activities on Mars? And why is every information about the volcanic activities strictly confidential? Who's behind the organization ESA? To find out, Duke must go to Mars... Coming next, uhm, summer: DN:Forever.
Just look what happened to the 'paperless office' idea.
Print is not dead. It's dying. That's a difference. I work in an advertising agency, and while all work is done on computers, most people print out everything, to check, for correction, etc. But you can clearly see that most younger and/or computer-skilled people print out considerably less. My boss is running printing something every 10 minutes, he just doesn't like reading on the computer screen. I don't mind. Most younger people prefer to work only on the computer and only print out for the last check.
While it's certainly nice to hang photos or show around printed/developed photos, I feel less need to do so.
If you want to show a slide show, now you can just connect a laptop to a TV set (or use the laptop's display, if there are not too many people).
I mean, we are the digital generation, aren't we?
E.g., my parents print out ever single email they receive because they want to file and keep it. For the same reason, I leave my emails on my computer. My CD collection is digitized for easy searching and minxing in iTunes.
Soon, there might be cheap LCD-screens hanging everywhere in your house, displaying pictures or whatever. You press one button, the decoration changes.
Until then, printing is okay, I guess... but in maybe five years...
Actually, Brazil is part of South America. South and North America are different continents.
I think the classification of continents is kind of arbitrary. E.g., America gets only one ring in the olympic flag. Geographically, there are good reasons that they're actually two continents. But then, there are not so many reasons that Europe should be considered a continent...
Ummm... no. You know, America is the name of a continent. I give you a few examples for countries on this continent: Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, the USA (United States of America).
Do you have a ceremonial hammer you smash your old consoles with whenever you get a new one?
Maybe he just wants to bring only ONE console with him when he travels...
The DS isn't supposed to replace or compete with the GBA, it's supposed to be "something else."
Nonsense. That's what nintendo says. They're both mobile gaming platforms, therefore they compete. If I want one of these, I will decide for one of them. I won't buy both "completely different platforms". They are definitely competitors.

Mos Def the hip hop thug RUINS it for me !!!
Hmmm... I really didn't know Mos Def... In this version, maybe Ford Prefect doesn't sound like he's from Guildford...
I just got the 1.1 Alpha version working and now I have to upgrade again!
Anybody still remembers the good old QuarkXPress times when every update cost about $500 and was compulsory for the next update...?
(BTW, have they changed this policy or have they forced everybody to switch to InDesign...?)
Uhmm.. no option where I can be rich and famous?
I don't remember if the book says anything about Ford being white (or not being black... of course, that's the way most of us imagined him to be...
a race with fifty noses, and the first to develop the aerosol deodorant before the wheel
Wouldn't that be fifty arms? Seems like a much more logical solution... (and the correct one, if I correctly remember the book...
My gmail address has only been used to register a troll account on Slashdot
Is it Anonymous.Coward@gmail.com?

No mention is made of what happens when a brick in the middle of the cube needs to be replaced
Or, when the ice melts?
If the "civilization-ending event" is a war, I bet this war would spread to other plantes as well...
Still, the chance somebody survives would be better, of course...
Just found this article about new developments in display technology:Nanotech Brings Cheap Flat TVs From Diamond Dust.
So maybe I get a chance to hang a few of these on my walls...
It was just an overpriced Demo for your hardware.
For many people it was an overpriced memo that says they need new hardware...
Clueless Salesdroid must be pretty smart to realise that "mom and pop" don't give a rat's arse how well their PC plays games.
"Uhm, I mean Internet. It runs the Internet much faster. Everything is three-D these days, you know. And now if you got this TURBO..."
Almost all of CDs that are older than 4-5 years are partially or completely unreadable.
That's sad, as many of these disks were very expansive (about 10$ a piece... the golden ones... burnt with my big white Philips-CD burner).
I have heard DVDs would last longer because the written layer is under the surface or something...? I hope they're better than CDs...
The best storage solution would be MO-Disks, of course.

Not yet paperless, but certainly less paper.

So we merged with South America?
Ah, I didn't know it's actually North Ameriacan Online (NAOL).
Sorry to pick nits, but shouldn't it be COL?
Ummm... no. You know, America is the name of a continent.

Because we're not a product company, we need a partner like Fujitsu who can deliver our products into the marketplace,'

the main reason is that Gamecube is dying
Oh, really? Has netcraft confirmed?
(BTW, my gamecube looks pretty healthy...)
This can easily be explained: English people love queueing.
If there's a line, they simply stop and wait.
