    Yeah, Sprint's service in the West Valley sucks. When my contract is up, I'm going to change, but I'm not sure who I should go with.

    I just want voice. I want an attractive phone, voice only (I work in a DoD contractor facility, picture phones not allowed).

    I'd love to see a RAZR formfactor with voice only. Maybe SMS as well, but nothing else.

    Anyone got suggestions, especially those with SF Valley knowledge?

    You're correct, I had forgotten about that. However, the OP's comment about the rationale for doing so was in the Declaration. The Constitution provides mechanism, the Declaration provides policy.

    Hey... the Founding Fathers anticpated the X-Window system!!! :-)

    Actually, that's in the Declaration of Independence (the Constitution came 11 years later). Though the Second Amendment is still there, too.

    Intel also had the 8089, which was a coprocessor for I/O. It's described (along with the 8087) in my vintage July 1981 8086 manual.

    mostly humanities are reading, and interesting reading since they know that they're audience is people like me.

    Obviously Caltech doesn't cover grammar in their humanities classes.

    IIRC, that's what the shuttle facilities at Vandenberg were going to be. The stack would be raised in situ at the pad, and the "VAB" would roll away on both sides at some point during the countdown.

    For someone who had never seen Star Trek, Enterprise was probably quite entertaining in it's own right.

    However, the Star Trek brand carries with it SO much baggage, it was never going to succeed. It would have been so much better if it had been called something else - WITHOUT the Star Trek branding.


    It was. The first two seasons were simply called "Enterprise".
