    As far as I'm concerned allowing public access to the source code is an entirely different matter than how you are allowed to /use/ that source.

    What about Appleworks? Version 5, heck even version 6, has more than enough 'features' to write letters, reports, all that normal word processing stuff but doesn't feel bloated beyond beleif.

    Just because a virus sitting in Jane AOL's system sending out spam isn't affecting her business, it doesn't make it OK. If fraud is going to go on next election, as personally I'm sure it will, there need to be huge changes happen before integrety is restored.

    When I call someone in 0121, for example, I know they live in Birmingham and they cann't change that. I like being able to tell whats what, who's from where and how to avoid a fair few criminal traders who operate out of unregistered PAYG mobiles.

    700MB for a cd isn't what Joe teenager wants, especially when the the sharer's DSL/cable may be capped at 14kB/s up. Thats why people compress their music.

    Just remember, the only thing the USPTO considers as prior art are previous patents, until the said patent challenged in the courts.

    Reading through the pages, it sounded more like a scam / rip off. It was proposed as being 'free' so long as you spent $150 on long distance. Like magazines that take a price hike to give you 'free' gifts.

    Registration seems to last for a maximum of 10 years at a time before renewal is needed.

    Heck, even user-filled box things usually/should work. The tests I take where I simply fill in a rectangular box in pencil are wonderful.

    Totally dependent on whether or not you get slapped with a lawsuit methinks..
    And, so far, nobody has. Only threats. It saves the costly fees involved in actually taking legal action.
