    Just to bite the Java troll, may I cite the example of Azureus as an example of a Java program done right(tm). Runs fast, is responsive and doesn't use the godawful swing toolkit (it uses SWT instead).

    RTFA. They are allowed to use those frequencies so long as the transmitter (in this case the keyfob) is so low powered that it shouldn't interfere with the licenced equipment.

    And with home audio devices the analog hole is *alot* easier to bypass as every (respectable) hi fi seperate connects to the amp using $METAL wire. Then I just hit record on the cd recorder hooked into the analog out.

    The sticker on the bottom of this here laptop says Microsoft Windows XP Professional 1-2 CPUs. Will this mean that Microsoft will have to reconsider their licencing policy for CPUs if people are going to have "four" from one chip? I've never needed to run more than two (through hyperthreading) so if someone could shed some light on what happens if you give a "2-licence" four processors it would be appreciated.

    One to look out for is if html can be posted. It makes the span invisible to any human reader but I doubt that any current search engine can identify the purpose of such a tag.

    Several very serious holes were only patched with the SP1 bundle as an incentive to get people to upgrade.

    It's good to know the biggest corps best businessmen are going to decide on the next generation of patent law.
