"The irony is, for most of the consoles to compete with the PC [in MMO titles] they must become more like the PC."
How is that irony? The best way to compete with anything, in any market, is to do things more like the winners. When SUVs became big selling cars, what did other companies to do compete? They made their own SUVs! How ironic, eh?
Anyone who calls addictions diseases are displacing responsibility. "Oh it's not MY fault I can't stop doing ________, it's a DISEASE! You can't decide whether or not you get the flu, do you?"
If it is a disease, there's an easy cure, that's also very cheap (free) and effective; willpower.
I totally agree. I never heard of the freecraft thing until the articles about it being shut down. I found some screen shots of freecraft and I thought, "wait a minute, that's warcraft 2, not freecraft!" I've been a blizzard fan since warcraft 2, and so far I'm only disappointed with diablo 2 and that starcraft ghost is console only. freecraft deserved to be shut down, and WoW is looking fantastic so far!
Deus Ex: the accents from the Hong Kong part of the game were hilariously horrible.
Star Fox Adventures: yeah the game sucked but the king triceratops's voice was particularly bad
Give him wood chips, coconut husks, corncobs, even chicken litter, and Robb Walt will turn it into electricity and heat
Wood chips, schmood chips. Humans are the way to go.
The human body generates more bio-electricity than a 120-volt battery and over 25,000 BTUs of body-heat. Combined with a form of fusion, BioMax would have found all the energy they would ever need!
Yeah, blizzard isn't much of an innovater[sic], except for creating two whole game generes, which they are still the best at despite dozens of failed clones from other companies!

I've read that story before, although your link doesn't work.
Then I was saddened to find out that the author is actually 30-something years old.

Someone should really teach this guy what an emulator is.
People should really wait a while after huffing gas before they use their cell phones.
Huh? Where are the anti-Nintendo people saying Nintendo games are "kiddy"?
Haven't been to any console gaming message board the last few years, eh?

I have a much more fun way of generating bio-mass heat without polluting.
Two worms don't make a wright.

No that was Sylvanis Windrunner, not Shandris.
