My personal experience is that, if you work hard and give respect to your coworkers, You'll be Welcome anytime, despite any bad traits you may have.
You're on the right track because You are asking yourself how to get better at work, do that with your colleagues and you'll be good! "What can I do to help You with that?" often do the trick, if you are looking for a starter motto.
After 12y in this I actually have two mottos:
1- that above, the standard one
2- "Sounds impossible to me" if I don't like the project/ideav
;-)
With WIFI area coverage all over the famous lagoon city it won't take long for services like "e-gondola", a new service dedicated to people all over the world, mostly lovers but also curious, for their chance to do a [not very] cheap trip under famous Venice bridges and channels... in total relax from their home, wherever they live.
There are a bunch of things to think about here. I can't believe he ignored a security rule such that... so there must be something else.
I see three main reasons:
- he got money for that, thus making him a spy or a country traitor (and that's a bad thing)
- he thought that such a project was too powerful for a single nation and thus shared it as much as possible, but that's difficult to believe and wouldn't solve anything
- he wanted low-cost engineering help to get some extra-$ in the deal
- he tought the rest of the world is just a suburb of US
I can't believe this man to be just as 'stupid' as it seems!
It seems like You're computing a spatial Hash! Would You like to use the fastest subroutine I know or use your own?
seriously... this post talk about machine learning optimization, will it be like "more stuff You compile, better luck with resulting machine code" ?
It's like a new GPS navigation software thats not only capable of route optimization but also capable of destination suggestions. "It sounds like You're going to a grocery store to buy pizza... there's a pizza hut round the corner!"
I rent space on the collision area for people looking to be first human being on Mars or Venus, at this time I cannot guarantee which will come first. Insurance and security helmet are required upon agreement.
fantasy quotes: "... air conditioner in building have to work harder to cool air when people with black shirt, tuxedo, heavy socks and high boots enter the building, thus all these stuff will be forbidden!".
May seems funny (or just weird) but that's what japanese did, first in the world, a bunch of years ago introducing 'less formal' wears in the office to lower air conditioner power consumption.
mmmh what else.. super-tax for heavy cpu.consuming games and applications...
I'm looking for a business mate to market black stuff from california to alaska, marketing back white stuff from alaska to california!
... and as Neo said to Trinity in the first matrix: We'll need sunglasses.. lots of sunglasses.
("guns", in the movie)
so secret they didn't see each other coming...
submarine black box recorded:
pvt- captain, what does this creepy "beep beep" means?
cpt- it's the oven
pvt-...mmh... and this blinking point?
cpt- it's.. errrm... the cooking point

like porn sites!
seriusly: various projects built a net in the net (see freenet, tor), so no news here.
If (they? we?) want to build a secure internet over the current one, and having net neutrality as baseline, I think this can just be of the same interest as freenet or tor.
Tor and Freenet did a good job to let You surf as anonymous, and so We may need just the opposite: a secure network where to surf with a strong identity.
I also rememeber a bunch of years ago they told ipv6 would solve typical ipv4 security issues, but I may have confused with ipsec!;-)
Now that You mention it.. most website warn You with something like: "don't give credit card numbers, passwords (and hopefully girlfriend phone number) to anyone, we will never ask You such things directly (but only via phishers)"
I didn't read such things on slashdot.org so it must be OK: my CC is 5465... huh.. mmh.. let me send it via private message!
essentially because I agree with the comment "He's right"
... and that infamous father of sociobiology lie to us. Why should people believe what the blogger says? I'm very curious.
I don't think pirates could get past YMCA here

why don't they simply do the damn thing?
how long before a commercial company sells a brand new twin of your little son so that he will have one more chance in court?
nice score, with SP1 they'll aim to 10 out of 10 - 100%
Metropolitan areas are very likely to be served by 802.11n and also WIMAX, which also benefits from greater area coverage ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiMAX#Competing_technologies )... but I definitely agree with You.. no wires in the future!
not even power line wires (not a news but, for reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_energy_transfer ).

Someone want to invest in such a good idea?

He probably meant to say "gravity is bad" referring to a pair of something completely different....
I bet He's having serious issues with non-virgin women...
suntanning limitations, coming next!
"reflective black" sounds funny and nerd at the same time!

Ok, with GMT+1 I got:
$ perl -e 'print scalar localtime(1431655765),"\n";'
Fri May 15 04:09:25 2015
doesn't ring a bell.. (even considering both dates are FRIDAY in italy, which was already a cool day). But moving on:
$ echo 'obase=2;1431655765'| bc
1010101010101010101010101010101
cool!
Basing on this old article:

But also on this one:

It *might* seems NVIDIA is "lock & loading" its GPU to bump up in the market on hybrids (low cost stuff?). HAs AMD+ATI already done something?
In the future We'll add a GPUCPU just as easy as adding a graphics card! :-)
it's my password... now everyone know it, thanks SLASHDOT! :-)
God bless 'em? Sure?
