I can't find the exact article, but you should read this one about the effective USB 2.0 speed. It states that the effective maximum speed is only about 40MB/sec, and that 60MB/sec can't be achieved due to overhead/software limitations; not sure if this is true now.

I work in tech support; when IE7 was released and pushed via automatic updates, we had a ton of people calling stating they can't get online. Just like Windows, updates for various distributions of linux don't always work right.

If she really wanted to take it further, she could put it in a lock box of sorts, just enough room to run the wires out.

Remember the 10-limit for open TCP connections per program? They did this because viruses and malware open many TCP connections. "Hey, what about P2P?" "What's P2P?".

You're almost right. The limit is for half-open connections: these are connections in the process of being made; however, this can effectively limit your amount of connections for things like bittorrent, because you connect slower than other peers. When you're constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to new peers every second, it becomes a problem. Hitting an artificial cap on half-open connections causes problems with surfing, too. Some bittorrent programs, like uTorrent, have a setting to limit the amount of half-open connections, so they won't interfere with other web activities. Fortunately, for Vista and XP, which employ the hard limit of half-open connections (tcpip.sys), there are patches available.

Continuing the bad car analogies that roam the savage wastelands of Slashdot: if you bought a used car, under warranty, from a dealer, and a part broke that just happened to be a third-party part (happens often on used cars), would you be ok with the dealer telling you you're SOL? I consider myself intelligent (I must be since I read slashdot!), but I don't consider myself above 'animal' behavior like so many of these posts imply or directly state. Besides, animals don't talk to each other during sex, so there's at least one thing that sets us apart from the ordinary reproductive animal.

And by the way, having sex once really doesn't show you how enjoyable it can be. You were probably nervous your first time, right? That takes a lot of fun out of it.

The point of this post is: don't just dismiss after having sex once or twice. There's fun to be had by all when it comes to sex.
