  1. Re:Kerry leading in early exit polls on Election Day Discussion · · Score: 1

Most of this is because the early voting was mainly pushed by the democratic parties. The absentee votes were quite closer. Most of those who voted early were hyped-up teenagers (aka /. readers) who hate Bush. Let's wait until the first round of exit polls before we look at any data- they'll have a better percentage to gauge from.

Which is very interesting, considering Kerry said he criticised the Clinton administration for not putting military pressure on Iraq...oh wait, the Clinton administration was before Bush, wasn't it? What a shocker... all those liberal-based "news" sources kinda leave that out, don't they?

Seriously though, I have yet to see unpartisan reporting, even here on slashdot. All of it just seems like propoganda.

Though they didn't find WMD, there is proof that Saddam had WMD in 1993 and the summer of 2000 with the intent to use them on Americans, and he surely has been trying to do such.

And Bush's IQ is higher than Kerry's. It's hard for you to make the argument that Bush supporters are dimwitted.

I do admit there are many who don't understand the world's view of America. I don't see, however, how you can group all Bush supporters into a "stupid" group because of the attitudes of some.

Yes, the first amendment still applies. It is normally crowds like this that cause damage and violence and the police force was used to push the demonstrators into an area where they could better be controlled. In the case of Hustler v. Falwell, it was judged that fighting words, or words that could incite revolt at their very utterance, were not allowed. It was slanderous remarks coming from the crowd that incited the demonstrators to be pushed back. What is disgusting is that the article makes no mention of the police also pushing back the people roudily chanting "4 more years" and making obscene gestures/remarks at the ones shouting "3 more weeks." The bias in this article was astounding. Freedoms must be limited to an extent to allow them to be practiced to their fullest degree.

Yes I want to talk about hypocritical. It was CBS' choice not to air that because of their liberal leanings. Michael Moore chose to go with a distributor who wants to make money- he said himself to download his movie and distribute it illegally contrary to his distributor's license policy. You have the choice of watching Farenheit 9/11 or this anti-kerry documentary. You don't have to watch either. Just because one distrbutor choses to put theirs on TV rather than theaters does not make them evil. Michael Moore could have done the same thing should he have chosen to.

Kerry/Edwards/Clinton/Heinz/Ginsburgh... was parodied only 2 seconds longer than Bush/Cheney/Scalia/Rhenquist/Daschell... It was a funny parody, there was no bias in it. I believe your views are a bit distorted in one direction...

I agree completely with the above opinion. In 1968, George Wallace, though he had some messed up views, managed to get some electoral votes. One newspaper even had him in line to win the presidency. He was shot and killed, though, I think right before election time, or something like that. He still managed to get 15 electoral votes I think it was.

Gentoo packages normally ship with fairly default configuration, especially for servers. It's the installation of the base system that would take any time or small tweaks. The "tuning" part only takes 3 minutes to write a simple /etc/make.conf and /etc/fstab here, and that's a one-time thing.

However, I have been happy with Debian, Slackware, and SuSE servers over the years, too. Though right now, Gentoo is the easiest to keep up to date- a simple cron entry that syncs the local portage tree and sends me an email of what it wants to update is definitely the way to go.

Dunno how, but it...works. On my systems, the story was quite different. I quickly tried to find an alternative to using the inferior operating system and came across linux. I have never looked back. So here's to WinME, the operating system that changed my life for the better! Thank you Microsoft, you have shown me the way :).
