I'm 32 and I lived through the Arcade Hey Day. And while I enjoyed arcades in the 80's, it wasn't until the late 80's/early 90's until my favorite 2 games came out Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. Besides which, I sucked at Pac-Man and Donkey Kong!:)
I think what makes those games stand out is the fact you would play someone else. Human vs. Human. It was so much fun to play against another human!
OT: I think the best baseball game ever made was SNK "Baseball Stars" for the NES. I've yet to seen one be as fun as that.
Your absolutely right about that. Baseball Stars rocked! I remember hiring all rookies for my team and playing the Lucky Ladies (got more cash for playing the ladies). My brothers I would play this one to death! Great game. It was way ahead of it's time!
I had the Sega 32X. The only cool game for it was Doom. It was actually pretty good. I also had Star Wars, that sucked ass. But it was a huge waste of money. I'm just glad I had an ex-girlfriend buy it for me:).
My parents bought me an Adam. The thing lasted about 5 days before it was returned. It was total junk. They replaced it with a C-64 and all was good in the world!

Sony did that with GTA3. Bought the exclusive console rights. No one seems to have a problem with that.
