You have circular reasoning in your definition of "bright". To you, anyone who agrees with W can't be bright, so no bright people agree with W. You need to get outside your own little circle and see that there are plenty of smart people who disagree with you.
Great examples. I think it's the same thing with most government programs, too. Didn't Reagan say something along the lines of "a government program is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth"?
Okay, this is off-topic, but I'm confused. Not that I'm saying I disagree with you, but when somebody places his hand on the bible and swears an oath, he's attesting that he means it because he believes in justice in the afterlife.
Basically, it means the Bible is more important than the Constitution.
From my vantage point (and I may well be missing something important), it looks like the anti-GPL3 sentiment comes from a misinterpretation about encryption keys. If that's clarified, either in people's heads or the wording or both, I don't see any real negatives.
I see a GPL that prevents companies from using DRM (which wasn't around for v2) to get around GPL requirements. Basically those same requirements that we liked from v2.
Well, you didn't have a whole city flooded after the storm. But as far as direct storm damage, I can tell you firsthand, it's hard to imagine anything "more damaged" than coastal Mississippi. And as for response afterwards: you have a much lower concentration of people who depend on government for everything.
Plug sales expectations into your thought experiment, and I think we've answered the question!

Of course! Game developers (and most of the/. crowd) can't figure out women. Expecting them to be able to write a realistic female character doesn't make sense. It's like expecting to see a conservative realistically portrayed on TV or in the movies.
That's an awfully generous description of what government would be doing. It's the only "challenger" which has men with guns who will force people to pay, whether they use it or not. Pretty big advantage...
...oh. There isn't one.

Patents expire much quicker than copyrights, and then the drug (or whatever) is in the public domain, and has been published for all to see.

This happens a lot in politics, for example. See the modern versions of NAACP, NOW, MADD...
Whoever registers .com.xxx and .net.xxx first wins!
I have big issues with a particular cell phone service company. They've got people thinking that "cingle" is a word!!
I guess I'm dense... Are you referring to me, yourself, the Senator from your anecdote, who?
Basically, it means the Bible is more important than the Constitution.
So how does pointing this out help your case?

You're absolutely right. Anything else is an inefficiency, and bad for everyone.
That's ISBN 0-201-54777-5, or 978-0-201-54777-1.
Judging by the response, that doesn't work on the Internet though... :-)
That should be "inflammable", as in "capable of being inflamed. There's no such word as "flammable".

I think you need to escape the exclamation point.

"Christian" Scientists reject many of the most basic ideas of Christianity.
Are you talking about Boxxet or Slashdot?

I guess I assumed this was a municipal project. Never mind!

She lives on 123 Fake Street.
I don't think I did... I stated a reason why we can't conclude that this ISN'T it. Never said anything about concluding that it (or anything) IS.
