Just what I was thinking. I've been a strong supporter of everything Nintendo has done in the handheld market since they released the original Game Boy.
I can't help but think Nintendo is shafting us in the game department though. Sure, nostolgia was cool when the GBA first came out, but they're "big games" continue to be SNES ports. While I don't want to see Sony overtake the hand-held market, I really hope this forces Nintendo to actually start creating new classics instead of giving us old ones.
Oh, come on. It could be worse. This is an Everquest game we're talking about. Sure, maybe it's only an RTS, but this is the series that regularly steals years from innocent people's lives!
I actually enjoyed the large chunks of pages that seemed to stray off course. It's something I always found absolutely hilarious in his books. Remember the section where Randy and a few others read about 10 pages of a document where one of his co-investors talks in detail about his stocking fetish?
Sure, it might not have much to do with the big picture, but in my opinion it adds a nice touch to a story.
The laser pointer has nothing to do with the Columbine fallout.
A few years ago when it became well known that pointing them at somebody's eye could potentially cause serious damage, they were banned from most elementary/middle/high schools. It happened at my school as well, and we never had any issues with violence. It was just because of the eye thing.
These features should had all been in the original GBA release. It's a nice addition to a already good gaming system, but I can't help but think I wasted money on the original release.
Originated from a russian comedian named Yakov Smirnov who did these kinds of jokes in the early 80's.
People have been beating the dead horse for awhile now.
Well, of course the amount of violent arcade games has increased over the last ten years. It's increased on consoles as well.
I wouldn't say the trend is necessarily going towards just violence, but rather arcades are trying to do things that you can't do at home. For example look at the explosion of Bemani games that everybody is seeing all over the place (Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania, etc.) and there's plenty of other games that are similar in that they're not your normal button mashers (That boxing game, for example.)

You forgot to add "with a girl."
Double points if said LUG member is a girl herself.

What good would that do?

Popular Korean MMORPG? Just what we need! Not only will it have the brilliant gameplay of Everquest, but the great community of Battle.net!
No more wishing for x-ray vision. Woman's locker room here I come!

What I'd like to know is why an engineering student is still worried about missing a bus to school..
