You probably wouldn't argue with the fact that the vast majority of the users of such a healthcare scheme would be good, honest, deserving folks who are ill and need fixing up. They would be people like you, you're family and your friends but also extend to give proper effective healthcare to those who under the current system may not be able to afford the treatment they need. As a Christian you should thoroughly endorse a system which does so much to help the needy and those who are worse off than yourself, it would be heretical in the extreme to support the current system which is ran purely for profit and only serves those lucky enough to be born with the advantages necessary to afford it.

Americas enemies in the middle east are mainly terrorists and Afghanistan, their main goal is to recruit more terrorists and McCain is exactly the sort of recruiting sergant they're looking for. International terrorism has increased dramatically under George Bush and with more of the same expect it to increase even further.
Afghanistan is not really about terrorism but the failure of the US to properly conquer the country in the first place. The war there is escalating with western forces pinned down and trapped in strong points whilst the country is actually ran by the Taliban around them. On the one hand how Afghanistan is governed has nothing to do with the USA but on the other it really won't do your street cred much good to retreat with your tail between your legs after being unable to achieve victory after all this time.

Tell me about it ! I was in Australia once and we hired a car to drive from Sydney to Brisbane, on the map it only looked about as far as from Birmingham to Edinburgh ( a good 4 or 5 hours ) so we planned on arriving the next morning. Turns out it's bloody miles away, it took us almost a week in the end !
The really annoying thing though was that there were no warning signs it would take that long anywhere, not on the map or on the signposts ( which weren't even in miles but in some other weird measurement ) and the guy in the rental shop didn't say a thing when we told him our plans. It's not just a problem in Sydney though 'cos once we got to Brisbane we thought we'd spend maybe a day or two carrying on around the rest of the coast to see Perth but there too there was no warning how hard a journey that would be. Not exactly a great way to treat tourists, hey Ozzies eh !

However these people don't live in a vacuum and do interact with other tribes living around them so although the outside world may not know about them they are usually pretty well aware of the outside world, they're not stupid either and would easily connect the sporadic sightings of helicopters or aeroplanes as activity going on in the outside world.

They are dangling them off cliffs and spiking them on pitchforks, tearing them apart in skelington tug of war games and burning down their houses and dragging the village folk down into their graves. You're forgetting that the work she does is for the people, everything she does related to her work should be a matter of public record it's just that at present there is no real way to record all of that. We can easily record the e-mails she sends though so there is no reason not to do that.

There's a massive difference in the amount of cosmic radiation that reaches places like Australia as compared with the UK. I believe that in Australia they stave off massive continent wide catastrophe by wearing hats in the sun.

I did the phone monkey for 3 years and I have to say it was at times much more challenging than any subsequent developing has been.
Imagine, it's 3AM on Sunday morning there are 3 of you handling calls potentially from 14 major clients and 100s of minor ones. There is no management, the procedures are all out of date and can't be relied upon and one of your most major clients ( an international steel company ) calls up to say the hot smelting line is down and can you fix it, they're losing a £250,000 for every half hour you don't manage to fix it. Your procedures have a much scribbled over incomprehensible set of non instructions to do with rebooting various terminals and restarting various processes at that plant but there is no on call 2nd or 3rd line support, no escalation points, no one but you and the guy yelling down your ear that he has had to contact the operational manager of the entire international company who is assembling a legal team right this very second to swing into action if the head of your ( also international company ) doesn't call him immediately and tell him its all fixed. At the same time you also have deal with a problem stopping newspapers being delivered from 100s of depots and the 2nd line support for that is obviously drunk and the investment banker phoning form LA who doesn't understand that his company hasn't actually paid for out of hours support so I don't care if his hotel is fire or that his laptop is being incinerated.
I'm not sure you've explained how it is NASA has come to stop all this wonderful private enterprise which will be sending people to the moon, exploring Mars, Saturn and all the rest ?
If the private sector really is as vastly superior to NASA as you say then surely the private sector would be by far the major player in space by now with huge fleets of rockets and regular scheduled flights to all the nearby planets. Not only would they have done it cheaper I bet they'd have done it long before NASA ever got around to it. So, why has NASA stomped on the private sector so hard and prevented it from even looking to space for a profit ?

We're British and we are not in the habit of carrying papers or having to prove who we are to every tom dick or harry or jumped up offical we come across. The last time I think I had any need at all to prove my identity was when I got my driving licence 5 years ago and the time before that was probably when I opened a bank account 20 years ago.

Employers are supposed to check on a persons right to work in this country before employing them already, by checking and passports and visas they already have the ability to do this. Employers who employ illegals don't check any paperwork and they won't be checking ID cards either once these are issued.
ID cards are not going to do a thing to prevent illegal immigration. This is simply the first phase in the governments plan to roll the cards out firstly to those who have no choice but accept them.
The reason this is bad is because each ID card is tied into the some sort of centralised national computer system which will hold the data the government holds on us in one place. The government has consistently proved over the last year alone they are incapable of securing the data they have already. When every man and his dog, every council, every bank, building society or other company who joins their scheme also has access to all our data the situation can only get even worse, and we're expected to pay vast amounts of our taxes to allow this to happen. It's ridiculous.
If you do the work you're supposed to be doing then so far as I can see you're free to do whatever you like with the rest of the time you spend at work.
I think legal wars are the ones where you're defending yourself or your allies against attack by someone else. The illegal kind are where you decide to invade some other country for some internal politcal reason.
