funny you where all anti drm then said you have 40 steam titles. not all drm is evil. yea i had sliient hunter 5 on my list then herd of its drm now cracked. i do not own that game due to that. drm is hurting sales of game not helping them. so a game company is tossing extra cost into there game for no reason. pc privacy has been high sense the days of bbs and theirs still been smash hit games that sell in the millions on the pc. long before drm. so all drm does does is increase piracy due to the fact people will now avoid that title or pirate it that may have bought it. and these game company's should be seeing this being apple jumped off that boat and ea also jumped off. they both saw drm was doing more damage then good. and then even if you sell said title all your doing is making it harder for the legit user not the pirate with the cracked copy. drm can be good to delay pirates in releasing cracked versions but once the game has been busted open drm should just be removed its now useless.
drm is fine as long as its not totally insane. steams drm bothers nobody and does not mess with are pcs. apples now removed drm also was hassle free. so as long as drm isnt doing what you say messing with the control of are pcs i have no problem with it. but i have seen that type spores now removed drm ubisofts etc those need to go away forever.
ea removed that drm and the steam version uses steams drm witch most people don't mind being it works on or offline and has no real limits on use. so you can now go enjoy spore.
funny the world of goo guy even said anything. they did a experiment with his game included. pay what you what for the games and you own it. the avg for windows users was 8$ the linux side 14$ and osx 10$. and they raised millions in that test. rember there test would have been 1 cent to whatever you could possibly put in. and the avg was still the above. they also intently left there server open to pirates just to see what would happen. btw i payed 20$ for the game pack they did that with. alot of them are awesome games a couple i didn't care for. so dispite the mass pirating they still made off like bandents in terms of cash flow with no set price. they donated it to the fsf btw. so it proves even with the high piracy rate it does not = lost sales being the ones that do pirate will not buy it no matter what. but at least pirates tell there friends abought it and they might buy it if its a good game.
well they can say its classified all they what but once its public knowledge it no longer is weather they wanna say it or not. and if i rember the past when stuff got leaked to the media it was auto declassfyed. its just the first time something got leaked to the net and not just bits of information but 500 pages worth. i believe it has something to do with are civil rites and stuff why they never dared to take on the media when they managed to steal info. classified is just another word for secret and when everyone knows it no longer a secret. i care less being all that was leaked was stuff with anyone with half a brain knew anyways.
well the fan will cost a couple dollars there not expensive. so the hdd will cost you the most. you can get the battery from the ebay store ama computer store seller johnxsc. for around 30$ and its high quality. so the repair bill for that hp isnt at the cost of a new laptop not even a low end one.
maybe a big 3 car what he said is true. but thers alero that cost the same as a fuel burning car thanks to its simple design and drive train it is greener to own that car without a 100,000 price tag more like 25,000. and they said could be even cheaper when they start selling world wide. Tesla is also working on a 30k car. the problem is the big 3 work for oil and that means any car that uses little to no fuel will always cost more from them to make up for the lost money at the pump. heck if you have some building skills get a couple 75 watt solar panels some steel framing pipes and abought 8 dc battery's and a electric motor more wattage the better. you can build a electric trike for a couple grand. the drive train etc you could salvage off junk cars.
pretty mutch all isp branded roughters have this abilty. when i gave a windstream installer my old 2wire that was branded for there isp they where able to change the password remotely. not the rougher password its self but the login info into the isp. even thow i kept telling the installer thats why its not login in and we need to update that info he wound up giving up and calling the isp and they updated the info remotely unnecessary step . being i knew i had to do the same thing and knew how to get to those settings myself.
well most people are aware of there data caps and avoid any heavy usage wile on there 3g mode. they will switch to wifi if available and the few times its not use there 3g but it still will give them a pretty low avg usesage. or us there gps using some of there 3g data.
probably not even loading websites. data counts on more then html so if they just check some emails and send a pic or something they will not use mutch data. and probably not using any data for days at a time. they are giving you avg so thats the the total data used divided by 30. and you get a daily usage avg. my buddy has a 3g modem he only uses for mmos at work. he works security and they let him do anything to stay awake. anyways mmos use very little data most of them anyways so he has a little 250mb a month plain and its more then enough to pay his favorite mmo without ever going over.
well free wifi isnt really something to give credit to at&t mcdonalds ended there pay program. i can get on it on my psp or my phone of any type that supports wifi. i convinced a local pc shop hear that used to use there wifi for lan party's to put up a huge wifi rig to cover pretty mutch all of the downtown city aera with free wifi. so its just a mater of hotspots becoming more and more common. i let my bankrupt nabors kid use my wifi even thow i have it wpa2 encrypted. being she asked. so its just a matter of wifi being a more common connection means then anything a cell phone company does.
i dunno in the usa xbox original mod chips got ruled legile. just using the xbox firmware was agenst the law. thats why all orignal xbox modchips where shipped blank or with linux bios. i would assume the same would apply to ds carts. ok to sell but do not include any soft where. so they brake copyrights unless the user programs it so.
guns and sinking them is more effective and they did take out earth rise hehe. even thow it would be entertaining to see the whalers microwave em. then hear them cry for the next 45 minutes abought no longer being able to throw there butter at them. if you watch the show the Japanese have powned them for the last 2 sessions. so its just watching a bunch of so called pirate protesters fail at everything they do. then a fat lair clame he made any difference. theirs a reason governments leave the Japanese alone.
its aruldy been ruled videotaping a cop is not illagle. its just the police trying to get back at the guy for catching there buddy acting like a shitbag. been a few of these cases latly and every time the cops lose. as for the whole the guy will never find a job again i dought it. its only a traffic charge and a made up wiretapping charge that won hold up in court. its not its robbery assult or anything like that and employers ignore traffic charges unless you apply for a driving job. as for not getting his stuff back when he wins his court case they have to return everything if they dont he can sue them for it.
laptops are aruldy making the move to ssd drives. being they simply work better on a laptop where tons of storage in most setups is not needed. the ssd inside a laptop will last much longer then spinning moving meda. laptop hdd die often due to people moving there laptop a problem that does not happen with a ssd, in the non moving desktop systems hdd drives will be domment for a long time. grater storage lower price and there fast enough. only speed freaks will want a ssd inside there desktop.
guess you forgot how big netbooks grew and most ran linux at the time. due to Microsoft ignoring netbooks. of course when they got proven wrong and netbook sales exploded even with linux as there os Microsoft jumped back on that wagon and started putting windows on them. linux can sell its been proven. its just Microsoft runs interference when something like that goes down. they failed on the phone market andoride and iphones have dominated the market and its to late for Microsoft to destroy it with windows. i bet there is some chairs flying around due to them deciding not to make a arm version of 7. and some netbooks are switching to arm/andoirde to escape the x86 death grip Microsoft currently holds.
bzzt wrong. you can download a deb off the net and click on it to install it. it will open the package installer and it will find any missing libs and download them. and i would like you to name one app that does not have a free alt. this applys to both windows and linux these days.
happy wind stream dsl user hear. i dumped cable after they where charging twice the price for the same speed of service i get with my dsl . my 50$ a month is also lifetime price locked meaning they can never raise there price for me. infact they even raised my speed recently no price increase. . wind stream has been eating the cable company alive in my area. i can say this being the entire area used to be on time warner cable now the entire block is dish network and wind stream modems. i can tell being a simple wireless scan shows 6 wind stream roughters in my area. compared to a year ago where there was none.
dsl company's care less. its the cable isps that net flicks is a nightmare to. and i can understand the problem has with rogers with there low ass caps. but i have a buddy in Canada. so i looked up different isps in his areas and i found a couple dsl providers that have no caps that served his area. i rather would have slightly slower net with no caps then fast internet i cant use.
blue ray still isn't cost effective as a storage media. the disk cost so much your better off buying a large sd card you can use over and over again without worrying abought the disk becoming damaged. you can buy cdr and dvdr by the case for what they what for 1 bd disk.and id rather hand my buddy a couple dvds then a 10$ bd disk. even if they hit the market they will be as obscure as a storage format as current ones. and useless as a movie format being theirs no way movie studios would sell you a entire tv series on 1 disk. or a disk with 40 movies.
now only if the usa citizens had the balls to boot are cruupt government out of power. i was gonna go good point to that guy but it sounds like you guys aruldy removed they guys bowing down to the usa out of power. good work.
or to be more practical maybe that gets you 3 games you can select every week or so. when the week expires if you wanna keep playing that game you can select it again all saves etc still there. like net flicks does with there rentals. no limits other then the amount you can rent at a time.that would get people talking abought there service. all the gaming you what for a flat fee. and your hardware isn't a factor.
xbox live is method 2. your paying for the servers to play online and other things. but you get physical copy's of games. when xbox lives goes down your games still work just not online. original xbox live is dead all my games on my old xbox still work i cant say that for onlive when it has downtime or goes under. now onlive can do a xbox live style of things but your paying to use the servers and games on the hardware that get unlocked when you buy the game threw them and they mail you a copy. or they can become net flicks of gaming charge a fee to play all there games on there hardware like 50 or 60$ a month. but there current style i do not think will work.

world of goo has no price tag anymore its part of the set your own price package they are doing. one price for 5 games.
funny the world of goo guy even said anything. they did a experiment with his game included. pay what you what for the games and you own it. the avg for windows users was 8$ the linux side 14$ and osx 10$. and they raised millions in that test. rember there test would have been 1 cent to whatever you could possibly put in. and the avg was still the above. they also intently left there server open to pirates just to see what would happen. btw i payed 20$ for the game pack they did that with. alot of them are awesome games a couple i didn't care for. so dispite the mass pirating they still made off like bandents in terms of cash flow with no set price. they donated it to the fsf btw. so it proves even with the high piracy rate it does not = lost sales being the ones that do pirate will not buy it no matter what. but at least pirates tell there friends abought it and they might buy it if its a good game.
