  1. No kidding? on Haunted Houses Explained: Infrasound · · Score: 0

Well, there goes 12 years of therapy sessions down the drain. I need headphones!!!

  2. Staying alive on NVidia Eyes Playstation 3? · · Score: 1

Even though NVidia is huge right now, ATI is slowly taking over the market. This contract is "do-or-die" time for NVidia and they are going to do everything in their power to get it. If they don't, who knows how long they'll be able to compete in the market.

  3. Follow Suit on U.S. Biometric Passports By Late 2004 · · Score: 3, Funny

I think that life would be easier for everyone if the standards for passports were the same everywhere. Might as well follow suit with Europe and allow more info stored on the card. Here we are just setting ourselves up for upgrades within a short period of time. We could also switch to the metric system while we're at it.

  4. Finaly... on Genetic Mutations Allowed Humans To Be Artistic · · Score: 1

...A source of all the witty remarks and replies on Slashdot. I was always wondering where all the smart-ass remarks originated from. Now I know and Knowing Is Half The Battle.

  5. Re:this is great on Infinite Games? · · Score: 1

I agree, it's ridiculous that I have so many games which are just sitting there collecting dust. I mean, once I played them through or some games even as little as a quarter way through, they get borring and no longer interesting to play. Even here I find myself saying "quarter way through" about a game. If this project delivers what it promisses, I hope to never find myself saying that. Fingers crossed and hoping...

  6. Tele-magic 9000 on Improvements in Teleportation · · Score: 2, Funny

Now I just have to sit and wait for them to come out with a comercial version of a tele-magic 9000. I could find about a thousand uses for the thing. Running marathons in under a nanosecond, teleport myself straight into a MGM Grand vault, go to Jamaica for lunch...I'm getting dizzy, better stop.

  7. Piss Poor on Don't Eat The White Snow Either · · Score: 2, Funny

Well, now it seems they have piss poor skiing all season long.

  8. Back in the Day on Potato Bazookas · · Score: 1

The easiest way to build one is to use PVC piping (two diameters, one for the chamber one for the nuzzle), the igniter off a gas grill, and some supper glue and silicone caulk. Depending on the diameter of pipe you use and the propellant, which can be almost anything from butane to hairspray to your own special mixture, you could get a potato to go a good quarter mile or more. Use to be a hobby back in the day.

  9. Pavlov's Dogs on Nicotine-Free Cigs, Genetically Engineered · · Score: 1

As some of you know, Pavlov's experiments showed us the learned conditioning to stimuli is a reality. Now, in this case, cigarettes being the external stimuli, this product is revolutionary and I can't wait for it (myself being a smoker). Back to Pavlov: Our body gets addicted to nicotine and the action of smoking is the external stimuli that our body has learned, will deliver the nicotine. Now, relearning the effects of the external stimuli is very possible and smoking cigarettes without nicotine will eventually get your body out of the addiction for the smoking action itself. The nicotine addiction will remain, but without a relating stimulus, your body will eventually grow out of the addiction.
