I can read AND edit Word and Excel files on my 650. And there exists Opera for the Palm. (but it kinda blows)
Not saying that what you haven't isn't best for you, just providing more info.
Man, that sucks. I have something like 15-20 acquaintences who have them and I haven't had the problem, my two roommates haven't, and none of our friends have. Sorry you had such bad luck!
I just took great offence with the comment on that article that just because a female character is portrayed as sexy that we view them as something derogatory or lesser.
The problem is that when you teach a woman that unless she's 6 feet tall with a D cup, a 24 inch waist and a vacant look in her eyes that she doesn't belong in a video game, she IS being taught that she is lesser.
I don't argue that some men appreciate that aspect of the game. Or that some women might like male eye candy. I'm just trying to point out that he might have a valid point as far as how women see a game in which they are portrayed as moronic eye candy.
I'm probably going to regret replying to this, but here goes.
By "treating them as examples of the female form" and by having them be the only women in a game, you are showing women that their role is to be pretty scenery, unimportant to the plot or action.
And what woman wants to play a game like that?
What? Julie Andrews character doesn't fall in love with a young man who becomes a Nazi; she falls in love with the father.
It's one of the children she cares for who falls in love with Rolf, who later becomes a Nazi.
Thank you for repeating your point; it was not very clear from your first post, especially given the emphasis you put on the method of information aggregation as opposed to the information you wish to have.
Do ANY of these "portal" sites offer something that we can't all whip up in a few minutes with HTML/CSS?
I'm very glad you can do better; some people would prefer to spend their time using the information rather than getting things set up to see it. That isn't meant to be mean.
Seriously. When the state is "marrying" people, you don't get to dictate based on religious beliefs who is and isn't allowed to do it just because it isn't what your god intended. Sorry.
State does civil, your churches do marrying. Make it so, otherwise, keep your mouth shut and your morals away from me.
1. godawful might be right and it might be old hardware. Also, you might consider that they are designed not to be taken apart. There's nothing inside that you should need to mess with, thus they don't try to make it easy for you to.
2. Are you serious about this? Because that's like buying a bunch of 45s and complaining that they don't play in your CD player. Or some other trite metaphor that's overused.
Seriously, though, wtf, dude? Of course they don't use the same software.
And you might be wrong about none of the computer parts you have now working with your hypothetical Mac. Unless you mean, like, the motherboard or something. Do you mean that, or do you mean monitor, printer, scanner, peripherals that you don't want to buy again?
Because I don't want this to continue. I don't want sponsored commercials (more than there are) within movies. I don't want to be constantly barraged by advertising any more than I already am. I'm sick of it.
This is where I would like to draw the line. Sadly, I don't live in a perfect world and can't take the high road all the time.
I used to work in a movie theater. I understand the concept.
90% (or something enormous like that) of ticket sales go back to the distributors of the movies. That is why concession prices are so outrageous; they have to pay the staff / rent / etc. somehow. Advertising, however, does NOT go back to the distributors because they are not charged by them to display ads before movies.
If this is wrong, please, cite something, because the theater in my town must be working awfully strangely.
I have a problem with paying $10 for a movie ticket and then being forced to watch a commercial. They take my entire attention and use the extremely loud sound that the theatre is equipped with. I can't talk with my friends during the commercials; they're too loud.
And where does that money go, exactly? Oh, right back to the theater owners. Bah. I wish that there were more than just the few options for theaters where I live so I could quit going to ones that showed commercials.
Or it's whiny babies who have opinions that aren't in any way based on facts who want to be able to spread their own crap around without any repercussions to their registered account.
Actually, she was having horrible nightmares and strange sleep patterns when she was taking more so she kept lowering her dosage until it was enough to get her to sleep but not so much as to cause nightmares.

On average, men prefer slim women with D-sized breasts.
Could I get some stats on that? I don't think that's true at all.

Yeah, because he posts it every single time Roland gets another story on the front page. It's not spam, it's true.
Don't forget Huey Lewis.
I loved those parts of the book. They balanced the gore, I think.
You came to /. looking for serious and intense political discussion and insight?
You should get your money back, dude.
Then you must not know very many (or varied) women.
You got your religion in my government!
You got your government in my religion!

It's about not having to make that decision at the beginning of the day. I can put twenty albums on my iPod instead of having to choose one.
Nobody NEEDS to have that much music on their iPod, it's just really, really convenient to have it all there.
Plus it works as a portable HD. I can carry around files between my work and home computers very, very easily with an iPod.
Well, yes, it was worded poorly.

What does that mean? What compatibility issues are there with Macs?

Go see Napoleon Dynamite. GP was making a joke, ya dweeb.

Hear, hear. I don't think "men are dogs" comments are funny, but some women do. Does that mean I have to put up with "women are whores" comments?
That's just silly.
Or it's whiny babies who have opinions that aren't in any way based on facts who want to be able to spread their own crap around without any repercussions to their registered account.
Or are we saying exactly the same thing?
Which is not far from Moon Township.
Dude, quit using Photoshop as a verb.
You meant to say "I bet they've all been enhanced using Adobe Photoshop software."
You are lucky I was here. Next time I might not be around!
