It does kinda suck. Personally I look at the posters history when I attempt to mod them, try and see if they are being just funny (peoples humour is unique) instead of selecting the negative mod options. I also hate how you can quickly lose karma over a single comment but yet it takes forever to get it back up. It is even worse when you have been unfairly modded because the mods don't put any care into what they are doing. A low user ID also plays a part in my decisions.

There was a story last year on slashdot about sound quality between differing formats, including ogg. I think AAC won most of them and ogg as well. With regard to HD space. I'm not rich and I hate wasting space anyway (in reality or digitally). I have a 160GB HD but I still encoded at the lower rate to save space. Plus I have a 4GB ipod mini and it was nice to fit an extra 300+ songs onto it.

Then I wondered how else do I get my point across. Is there another way of writing "times" instead of "x" which I didn't use because I didn't think I would be clear enough in my original post.
Rebates are sadly a progression from just offering a discount. How do companies get people into their stores if their competitors offer the same discount price for the same product they bought it for off the same company? They are victims of a mass market I would of thought and they are trying to be different from one another.
That there is the reason why rebates work for the companies, it's a money maker. Now just times your statement by 100 and see for yourself, they are laughing all the way to the bank. Now ring them up and get your cash, DON'T be lazy!
Better sound quality at lower bit rates. I just converted my mp3 collection which was at 256Kbits (8GB in size) and now going with AAC at 128Kbits, I hear no difference in sound and my collection is below 4GB in size.
I don't know if this is a sarcastic comment or not. You do realize Apple have corrected the battery problem of any of their devices out there right? $49 replacement and many users who own a first gen 5GB model still quote a battery life of around 8 hours.
A powerbook's battery is nothing to harp on about. It stinks, moreso when the cheaper iBooks have a consistent better performing battery life. Even at the same speeds!

For a start, try saving an entire web page offline with Safari. You can't. I had to download Firefox in order to do it.
