  1. Get your medical imaging in DICOM on First Ever HIPAA Fine Is $4.3M · · Score: 2

For the last several years I've requested and received copies of all medical imaging data. for myself, my Mother and, my Father. In a couple of cases they mailed me a CD but in all others they gave me the disc before I left. Never any hassle, I just had to ask.

The data is in DICOM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Imaging_and_Communications_in_Medicine format. There are free viewers for Linux, Mac, and Windows.

I had a CT done of my head. Pretty cool to watch in 3D.

My Dad has a stint in his aorta. Watching the imaging of them testing it for leaks with radioactive contrast is wild.

Back in 1995 a local ISP had a call in contest on a radio show where they'd give $250 to somebody that could convince them that there was a job that would not benefit from the internet. I won the contest by telling them that I drove an ice cream truck and all of my customers were little kids. This was hypothetical and I told the host the truth. I was actually a programmer at the time. I am still not qualified to drive an ice cream truck.

I took $100 in cash and the rest in free internet access for several months. I stuck with that ISP until 2006 when I moved to an area that they do not service.

I am a believer in the supernatural who shares my faith with those who are interested. When I do this I always tell the other person to not take my word for it but to check it out for themselves. I make a case for my belief but also make it clear that my reasons are not good enough alone to accept my belief. My belief isn't true because I happen to believe in it. If it's true then it's verifiable and it's up to the curious to verify it before they choose to believe it.

  22. why not use an ecommerce app? on Easy On-Line Event Ticketing? · · Score: 2, Informative

You could use oscommerce or phpshop.

Just create a product for each day/time you give the tour and set the inventory to the number of tickets that you want to distribute for each tour.

When someone 'buys' a ticket then the inventory is depleted by one.

If someone cancels their order then the ticket should become available again and the inventory should increase.

I'd use Mambo CMS as a frontend. It has a nice event calendar component. Add events to the calendar with links to the product in the ecommerce package and you should be all set.

Phpshop has been integrated into Mambo. There is an effort to integate oscommerce.
