Personally I really like Chynna Clugston-Major's work. However she is most definitely not a super hero comics writer. More information here It's like an archie comics with extremely perverted punk kids set in the 80's.
Probably a good idea not to be V. LOEG was the worst
worst pile of shit movie ever. It is a shame since the graphic novel is what got me intrested in Alan Moore's work. Double shame really since V for Vendetta is one of his best works. Movies of his work should be given the same quality as
and who ever moderated you as a troll will hopefully pay in metamoderation
If you watched this documentary. You would think that nuclear is worse due to the fact that Chernobyl is still killing people. Only 15-20% of babies are born healthy in Belarus near Chernobyl. Just a quote from the site for the documentary is harrowing enough to to scare people away from nuclear power.
"Following Adi Roche, founder of Ireland's Chernobyl Children's Project, CHERNOBYL HEART opens in the exclusion zone, the most radioactive environment on earth. From there, Roche travels to Belarus, home to many of the children she seeks to aid. The film reveals those hardest hit by radiation, including thyroid cancer patients and children suffering from unfathomable congenital birth and heart defects. "
TV shows after a few seasons go into a little thing called syndication. You have probably heard of that. It is syndication that makes a show really profitable in longevity. This is what most of TV is when it isn't 7 pm-9 pm.
Do you think that DVD sells will kill this. No, because the stations need something to air and they usually make more money buying the rights to syndicate a show (and adverts) than air original content (and usually more money than infomercials. DVD sells are icing on the cake. Mass downloading of TV shows will kill TV. You will get live TV or infomercials. If you can burn the download even with DRM you kill the DVD sells and syndication profits sink.
This situation is much more complicated than release a download after airing it because it is paid for. 5 years of non reality/non live shows always bank on syndication. Even after DVD sells. They need a solution to syndication before they can really consider it. The article estimates 1% of Americans download some of their TV off BT. I think they can stall with a few lawsuits to keep the numbers low until they refigure the business.
The butchering of his scripts for Alien 4 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is what forced him into the directors chair for Btvs "the show" and Firefly. Don't expect him to write to many scripts now a days since he is a respected director now. Consequenly writing and directing Wonder Woman for 2006.
On a side note, anyone notice how similar Firefly is to Cowboy Bebop?
A couple of weeks, during the recent Ubuntu release, ago on Veronica Mars two of the computer experts got in a very cute argument over it's release. It was very timely, happening the week after the story hit slashdot. It was very timely and surprising.
Oreilly talks about it some @

I ran into one of the actors at a concert I went to on new years. Since I don't follow fan sites, I asked how the movie was coming along. I had heard nothing more than it was an option a few years prior. He said the film finished filming and was in post production. Minimally 5 months of post production seems like plenty of time to finish a workable movie.
While the audience isn't a focus group bet on them all getting 2 page surveys and little pencils w/o erasures with about 20 people pestering the hell out them to please finish their surveys. Bad surveys would let them make some major edits between now and September.
And here in Texas they like to talk about the death penalty, but just as disgusting is the fact that you can get parole for murder. It is usually reserved for cops and the rich.
I remember reading somewhere on slashdot some posted a detailed link on how new hd/digital cable boxes/dvr must (FCC regs) allow users to record content of digital cable/HD via firewire. New cable boxes will have firewire ports.
Currently the only vendor that suppports this is apple. One how to is here.

Actually the easy way to describe V is anarchist.

Music not equal to TV.
