Be honest. How many funerals has your church held for miscarriages under 13 weeks? How many families even named them? It's also easy to show how full of shit anti-abortionists are by a simple application of the Trolly Problem.
Science fiction author Patrick S. Tomlinson this week explained how opponents of abortion rights can be shut down with one simple question about whether 1,000 embryos are more important than the life of a single child.
In a series of tweets on Monday, Tomlinson revealed the scenario that he says has repeatedly stumped so-called pro-life activists. Tomlinson said that he asks abortion opponents whether it makes more sense to save one child from a burning building or a vial of 1,000 embryos.
"They will never answer honestly, because we all instinctively understand the right answer is "A." A human child is worth more than a thousand embryos. Or ten thousand. Or a million. Because they are not the same, not morally, not ethically, not biologically," he wrote. "This question absolutely evicerates their arguments, and their refusal to answer confirms that they know it to be true."
Because poor people can TOTALLY have their choice in terms of service. Banks make billions every year from NSF's. Tens of billions. Like they're just going to pass up revenue from their target market willy-nilly.
so it's a war crime when america does it, but not when it's some other country?
Dafuck are you talking about. It's a war crime when anyone targets civilians, engages in torture, deliberately bombs hospitals, engages in child sex trafficking. But American's don't have a vote for who's king of Saudi Arabia. They can vote for presidents, senators, and members of the house.
Other one got modded down by some morons, so reposting to give you a chance to back up your blather:
war crimes revealed by Manning?
Lolwut. That's like going to a political convention and asking for evidence that Obama is black.
There's three war crimes in the Collateral Murder video alone: targeting civilians, targeting the press, and targeting first responders. There are cables on the US pressuring other countries to ignore our extraordinary kidnapping and torture program. The biggest doozy, though, has got to be using US taxpayer dollars to pay for Bacha Bazi boys for Afghan warlords. Because all of the transophobes clucking "you mean HIM???" in reference to Chelsea Manning don't seem to have a problem with their tax dollars being used to support boy-fucking. Boy-fucking taking place on US military bases.
KABUL, Afghanistan - In his last phone call home, Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father what was troubling him: From his bunk in southern Afghanistan, he could hear Afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought to the base.
"At night we can hear them screaming, but we're not allowed to do anything about it," the Marine's father, Gregory Buckley Sr., recalled his son telling him before he was shot to death at the base in 2012. He urged his son to tell his superiors. "My son said that his officers told him to look the other way because it's their culture."
And how do you propose to do that when you work full time but earn $20 a week? Or two full time jobs - for a whole $80! Or less! Since there's no minimum wage!
The minimum wage exists to price people out of the market.
The minimum wage exists as a floor. If your business doesn't pay a living wage, your business doesn't deserve to exist.
If anyone's sucking the corporate boot-tip, it's you.
Suuuuuure. But I ask again: why don't you Randians put your home economics where your ideology lies? Back in 2001, Nickel and Dimed was written by Barbara Ehrenreich, on what a rotten existence it is to try and get by on the minimum wage. Which hasn't been increased since Bush was president.
So why don't any of you show us all how it's done. Show us how awesome it is to live under a bridge and eat potatoes because that's all you can afford. You Randians are real big on advocating starvation-level wages for other people, but never try doing it yourselves.
I'm talking about the need to abolish minimum wage in its entirety and the underemployment problem that comes from increasing wage floors.
Do you take your corporate boots black, or do you like to sprinkle a bit of sugar on them first? Why don't you round up like minded people at the next Rand bookclub meeting, and get everyone to follow your own advice. Get entry-level jobs and get by on what you think the minimum wage would be as dictated by market forces instead of the government. In an economically depressed area like Detroit, that's going to be less than a buck an hour.
You have to remember, there was a time before Wikileaks was just a partisan tool of Russia. It actually exposed real crimes instead of just trying to embarrass a certain party in order to install a puppet president.
There was a time when Democrats didn't fully insert their heads into their asses, and mocked Romney for saying Russia was a threat to the United States. In an election where Putin voiced a preference for the candidate not campaigning on raising tensions with his country. Mind blown?
Bernie Sanders doesn't work for anyone but himself. He dresses it up in populist left wing idiocy, but his three houses show he is a full and complete hypocrite. He should donate two of them to people without homes. He is the 1% he hates. He hates himself, having never worked a day in his life. Definition:Parasite
Anyone remember Mr. Cranky? Satirical movie reviews, under the premise that all movies were bad. If the reviewer actually liked the film being reviewed, they'd just make up a bunch of stupid bullshit, like Raiders of the Lost Arc really being about Indiana Jones coming to grips with his bisexuality.
So you must really like Bernie Sanders, if you're making up a bunch of stupid bullshit like this.
It was Obama who started the "Asian pivot" to start threatening China with the US Navy, not Trump. As Hillary Clinton is just as incompetent, petty and bloodthirsty as the Evil Mutant Death Walrus, I have no doubt she would have continued that policy.
And the video Manning leaked was deliberately misrepresented by Assange to boost his own ego, as others in WikiLeaks have stated.
What other's - that hack Daniel Dumbshit-Berg? To digress for a moment, I've always been ambivalent on Joe Rogan's standup comedy, days on Fear Factor, fight commentary, and most of his podcast guests....but his interview of Bari Weiss of the New York Times was pure gold. She called Tulsi Gabbard an "Assad toady", but wasn't able to substantiate her accusation. Or define the word. Or even spell it.
Now, you can obviously spell the word "ego". And you might be able to define it. But the rest is reaching your fingers to the back of your mouth to regurgitate some character assassination you heard somewhere. Just like Bari Weiss. If Assange was 'in it for himself', he would have sold the cables given to Wikileaks by Manning to any number of state intelligence agencies around the planet, and be living on his own island in the Bahamas right now. With blackjack. And hookers.
What's particularly bad about this is Manning was leaking information with the specific intent to cause harm to the Army, (possibly leading to the deaths of US soldiers) without being aware of its contents at all. Manning did this purely out of spite; it had nothing to do with whistleblowing. The reason he did this goes back to his early days in the Army.
Pressin those fingers down, hard, on the back of your tongue. Manning was bothered by war crimes and illegal wars, something Manning and Assange haters absolutely DGAF about. And she tried raising her concerns "through the appropriate channels" and was ignored. Which left leaking as her only choice, or stay silent and complicit in an illegal invasion and occupation.
As an Army veteran myself
As a member of the Army, you took an Oath of Enlistment to defend the Constitution of the United States, not neocon war criminals. Manning was upholding that oath, and is an infinitely better soldier and human being than you ever were or will be.
A fetus isn't a baby. Not even you racist dumbfucks believe that, as you don't have funerals for miscarriages at 13 weeks or earlier - when most abortions are performed.
Take $25, deposit it to open a free checking account at your local credit union, and they'll give you a visa or mastercard debit card you can use as credit.
....and charge you a $35 NSF fee if you go over your balance by a penny. Whereas a cashier will tell the customer they are short and put back their items, so people with no money are charged money.
Even a puny Nissan Leaf will do most daily driving for most people. If you're like some people and have a four hour commute each day - any Tesla should get you there and back on a single charge. A Tesla will help you plan longer trips, with routes and stops for charging stations. The rest is the fallacy that EV's have to be all things to all people. But you wouldn't rubbish a Honda Civic just because it can't drive you through foot deep snow on a trip to the Northwest Territories, would you?
Crank movements existed long before the internet and the ability that gives to reach a huge audience with little effort.
Yeah, but those cranks aren't going to risk killing anyone with their crankery. Flat earthers, lunar conspiracy theorists, anti-fluoride nutjobs, Russiagaters....none of them are going to possibly kill someone as a side effect of engaging in their conspiracy theory. As opposed to anti-vaxxers, who can kill people with measles, or render them deaf or blind.
They can still self-publish pamphlets, speak in the town square promoting their crankery.
Uh huh. And when Amazon refuses to sell you a printer, and has bought all the town squares? They have been getting into real estate. It's too flippant to say "just go somewhere else" if "somewhere else" will give you 3% of the audience you had before, in the age where tech companies have established effective monopolies in their market segments.
Speaking of Amazon, it has contracts with the government worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and Bezos sits on a board at the Pentagon. And Amazon was told about these videos by a high ranking Democratic official, in a chamber that was just taken back by the party. So, yeah, this is a free speech issue. And I say that as someone who has complete contempt for antivaxxers.
What you are demanding is that people have the right for othes to provide them services whereby they can monetize whatever they say.
See above on monopolies. As for antivaxxers, suppressing their speech risks a slippery slope and establishes a bad precedent. So maybe we could tax them. You can smoke cigarettes if you want to, but in most places you will be paying a hefty sin tax that will mitigate some of their costs. So if you don't want to vaccinate your kids, you pay a tax - one that scales with income or assets. You're a single mom in a double-wide? $500 per unvaccinated kid. You're Jenny McCarthy and you want to adopt some kids? $1,000,000 for each one you don't vaccinate.
The Bush Administration made very specific claims about Iraq that could be falsified, eventually. With Russiagate, it's a bunch of Gish Gallop bullshit that sees it's True Believers hop back and forth between debunked talking points, like climate changers. Put the high priests of Russiagate on the spot and they quickly lose their shit when pressed. Adam Schitt loses his shit when asked to look into the camera and say, on the record, that Russia was behind the phishing of the Podesta emails.
We really are spoiled with modern games that let you save after every mission, or even at waypoints during the mission, and give you infinite lives and continues.
No more than you are "spoiled" by being able to vote without being male and owning property.
And then if trends continue, they can strike for another 28 hour work week. Or 26. Or 22. As opposed to the Bezos's of the world just pocketing all the gains for themselves.
German metal workers have won the right to a 28-hour working week in a landmark deal between employers and Europe's biggest union.
Under the deal, workers will be allowed to reduce their working week to just 28 hours for a temporary period of up to two years. Employers will not be able to block individual workers from taking up the offer.
They literally created the situation we have today by handing out monopolies
Monopolies were going to happen regardless, see the remedial math above. Government sanctioning the monopoly is to get the telecos to accept regulation in return. Don't like that? The only alternatives are much more strict government regulation to promote competition in the first place, or public ownership of the infrastructure. Two other things that libertarian derp doesn't like, either.
I see you're a projectionist.
He'd be talking to models about it (without getting too specific). While they were giving him blow jobs. You know, if he was just in it for himself.
Shit for brains.

Bigoted transophobe.

Specifically, Christofascists are much more common in the US than any of the people you try and whattabout.
You do know that's all the same Old Testament bullshit, yes? Fundamentalist jews, too.
You're a whiney, butthurt Christianist.
100% of mainstream media outlets in the United States have a right wing bias. Yes, that includes MSDNC and National Pentagon Radio.
The Bush Administration made very specific claims about Iraq that could be falsified, eventually. ...not just more profits for robber barons and vulture capitalists.
German workers win right to 28-hour working week

Well that escalated quickly.
