I can imagine a sporting event in the near future, where tiny little nanowarriors duke it out under microscopes, waging miniature wars with their miniature lasers........ah one can dream can't they?
I know you were joking. But it is very interesting to watch this large convergence of technologies. What might have taken centuries is now being sped up by the ability to transfer information as rapidly as we do today. Now we get to watch in more of a real-time version how massive new technologies are born.
Every now and then I see a new piece of the puzzle being made that will work hand in hand with some other technology to bring us even closer to something which was thought only probable not more than a few years ago. We are as priveledged as those who lived during the renaissance for we get to see some of the most rapid advances made in history.

This is a great idea to not buy them.....now go out and convince people who don't have a freakin clue about this not to buy them as well. And what about the pedophiles who are afflicted by their disorder, but choose not to act on it? Should they be drawn and quartered as well? I also have mental disorders, but I have learned to overcome them. Just because someone else with the same disorder is unable to, does not mean I should suffer or be looked down upon.
how the FUCK did this get modded down troll? I was making a joke about how the EQ players constantly whine and complain about things being nerfed/beefed. It is to the point where there are practically political parties formed over it. Jesus, mods need to learn to mod for once.
I think its not so much that they got money from the RIAA to make this.....but more like there is a potential market, which is primarily the RIAA who would love to make content using this technology and would love to license it from M$ in the future.

Now THIS kind of talk pisses me off. First, read the definition of pedophile on Websters. Now, explain to me where in that definition it states that they can't control their actions? What's that? It doesn't say anything about that? Well, DUH. That's because pedophilia is not a disorder that makes you go out and molest children. It is a disorder which makes you ATTRACTED to children. If you choose to go out and act on it, that's your perogative.
Now, before I get modded down for this....I'd like to state I don't condone molesting anybody. However, just because someone has a mental disorder, does not mean they are automatically going to act on it. And for you to just assume they are is unfair to them. It's not like they CHOSE to be attracted to children.
So get your facts straight, and realize that just because someone is afflicted with a mental disorder, does not mean they will necessarily act differently because of it, even if their thought patterns are different.

No, the problem is the children. You see, pedophiles would have no targets if there were not children. And everytime I see some politician cry out "THINK OF THE CHILRDREN!" I think to myself....hey....we wouldn't have this problem if there were no children to think about.
So in summary, my solution is to get rid of all children.
Personally, I would enjoy a spell system where you had to research the spell on your own, perhaps in books, where you would have to figure out the somatic, material, and verbal components and figure out how to make the spell on your own.
If they could come up with a way to make it dynamic enough where you wouldn't see a website with the list of all possible spell combinations within a week.....*cough*Asheron's Call*cough* I think it could be incredible.
If you want just a broad range of out of the ordinary spells.....check out a MUD called Dragonrealms by Simutronics. It's $10/month, but I've been paying it for years......simply the most engrossing game out there. Don't believe me? Check out their spell list.

Lets see you try to IMPLEMENT those other spells. Its been so far impossible without a live DM who makes the actual decisions. The reason why is that the outcomes of those spells rely on story telling. And to be truly dynamic in their usage, you would need someone live....as opposed to a scripted event.
For example, Baldurs Gate. The Limited Wish spell. I drooled when I saw that included......and then when I got and cast it, I got a small selection of choices to choose from for the effects.......not quite the wish I wanted.
I believe something like this could work perhaps in NWN, with a very complex toolkit for the DM to produce effects on the spot.
What annoys me is that when a new MMORPG comes out, it inevitably has a higher monthly fee than its predecessors. What then happens is that all the other MMORPGs feel they need to raise their price. Yes I could understand a price raise to match inflation. However, some of them are ridiculous. The maintenance costs for those existing games did not increase. They are just able to charge more to match the other prices in the field. It is absolutely disgusting. And people keep paying. Thats why I'm done with MMORPGs for a long time until something worth the extra cost comes out.

Besides, even if it did share them, don't you think you'd notice if you started seeing files pop up in the Uploads window? You then go "cancel" and then do whatever is necessary to disable sharing.
