    Jones says that he has yet to damage any of his discs or players with his pioneering work, but warns that the technique does crash CD players on computers because the software cannot cope.

    This is an obvious attempt by RIAA blackhats to get everyone to buy new CDs while simultaneously destroying computer CD-RW. Time to grep for a good lawyer.

    Alert your Congressman ,Corporations and Librarians and tell them to block all of those bad people from the Internet since they must be criminals and all that stuff on the Internet is not really free speach.

    If you like censorship then this is great news! Otherwise ask some privacy and to be left the hell alone as We the People are the Internet.

    I do work in RTP and in the field If you want to work at places like GAP or QVC or a Bank on behalf of another company then you have to submit to that customer' policy. It is their building and if you don't want to be subject then stay out like you did. It is not just IBM that allows this to happen.

    Yea well our state AG is not up on them there technology issues. Roy is busy with the State Fair contracts the past couple of years and simpley does not have the time nor resources to deal with this 'white collar' stuff.

    But a lawsuit is not the only avenue open to SCO: The company has shown a recent preference for more moderate courses of action, such as sending invoices to Linux users rather than taking them to court.

    I for one cannot wait for the invoice to arrive from SCO and figure they are doing this because of the better drugs available in Utah because if they were still in Santa Cruz and given the easy availability of hallucinagins in that part of the world. There must be better drugs available in Utah.

    Yea PJM does have its act together for sure as can be seen by all the improvments and upgrades that have been done over the past seven years. My Hat is off to PJM for integrity.

    On the flip side the operators in the Southeast, DUKE, Progress, SCANA etc are doing a 'first energy' big time. Just look at the mess they made at GridSouth past few years.

    I disagree; any outside help that can be gotten in Philly is needed badly and this is my view from a stones throw to the phila county line.
    Even if it is only like me or you donating $20 there is some good in this project.

    Now does anyone know if the city is getting ready to replace all of it's desktops soon?

    I installed SCADA at control centers and yes we build our own network and yes Our techs come in and plug there laptops into that network to do maintenance. It is not secure from outside infection. As for the Windows issue that is also untrue and yes you are wrong.

    Yes, this is not a short term anger 'gosh gotta patch my computer again' but more like a 'the IRS emptied my bank account to pay my back taxes from 1972' kind of anger. There are alot of kids, right now, starting back to school and college that cannot use their WINTEL machines and will remember this event the next time they have a choice. They just need that second option.
