Gee, someone should tell that to the guys who wrote the disk-checking program for Windows 2000...half the time I have to reboot because it can't get exclusive access to the drive.
I didn't see everyone fighting tooth and nail against the "tax" on recordable media
The one where I have to pay attention and buy CDs labeled "Data" instead of "Music"? Wow, that really takes a lot of fighting...
Hey now...Vader's a l33t pilot! He has his own damn TIE, remember? WHO nearly fried Luke's ass on the Death Star run? Altho I suppose if you paced (played?) well, you wouldn't NEED to do such things...
What DOES he do, anyway? All he does is give orders, then sit there and wait a bit. Maybe you'll get to see his filing-paperwork side, or you could meditate...
Actually, maybe we'll see his "younger" side? Remember Anakin Skywalker? That d00d was pretty l33t =)
remove most of the NPCs
You mean all 8 of them? Ok, so I'm exaggerating a bit, but there are maybe 3 models for each gender and race of NPC. That sounds like a lot, but really, every fourth person has the SAME FACE!
If you don't, then you are weird, strange, and a danger to the Party, so you must be shot.
No, no, no...you must be made to love Big Brother, THEN shot.
if the kid wants to space out and draw all class
I have friends who do this, or read. They still submit decent work, but why? They asked those of us who were PAYING ATTENTION how to do the work when they notice they can't do it. It'd be another thing if they were, say, getting the current homework done during class because the material was too slow-paced.
OBVIOUSLY it should be hidden in an innocuous-looking folder called "stuff". Hidding this folder is a huge help, too, You know, C:\games\stuff, ~/.stuff, C:\My Documents\stuff, whatever.
Doesn't the Kazaa Lite EULA say the program itself is illegal software? Maybe it's a hack of KaZaA or something? "They" COULD go after K-Lite if they wanted, just not in THIS particular case...
Van Eck phreaking of all laptops aboard airport flights...Just to catch the brilliant terrorists who will open up their plans for a quick review before carrying them out...
Do you slashdot readers feel safer now that they have this extra security?
No; CDs are rather sharp when you crack them, and it makes a noise like a gunshot. You can bring cases of them on a plane...
I contest that if your mother were to take the time to really look at the interface and think about what it was she was trying to do, she could do it no problem (maybe she'd have to look at some help files, but still). Greater intelligence would speed this process.
"Well duh, it's H(OH)!"?

All your states are belong to us!
Did you miss the line that says it's already out on Xbox? Get a Clue(TM).

You could even give the game away for free, and make your money selling large jars of Vaseline. Perhaps this could also go in 1.1?

That said, it's really quite a nice game =)
No, of course not.
Go talk to Paul Allen...this would've been a much better project than his Ode to Jimi Hendrix...
Dr. Mario IS Tetris...Tetris 2...I found this out recently and was rather irritated. Several of my female friends enjoy both games, by the way ^_^
It's $50 cheaper than the WET11...that sucker is $130 from Best Buy, and you can't find these at Best Buy yet either. :(

If the RIAA can get their continued existance legislated, it's only fair the telemarketing field gets the same treatment...
Alice in Quantumland, perhaps?

since they own each individual CD
BZZZZT! WRONG! They are PART-owners of each individual CD.
Sony could conceivably decide to grant every shareholder free use of its recordings... they may not happen, but it IS their right to do so.
With regards to the current "plan" under discussion, that is because they own the copyrights to those recordings, not just because they bought one CD.
