The reason why they translate so fast is because of (but not limited to), practise
and context. Practise for obvious reasons and context because it allows the inherit
search space to be dramatically reduced.

That said UN language or diplomatic language consists of rules (more context oriented
filtering), these rules lead to patterns in the conversations. The brain is good at
subconsciously finding patterns and making assumptions by them when they appear in
    real-world interactions.

So when someone begins saying People's Republ... and the context of the discussion is
say trade talks with China and the US, you know the interpreter is not going to wait
and see if the speaker ends the sentence with China, Bangladesh or Algeria.

  23. Re:MD5 is still useful. on MD5 Collision Source Code Released · · Score: 1

Actually you are incorrect, their code clearly allows the user to set the internal IVs of the md5 before finding
collisions, what one can do is md5 the tarball get the state of the IVs and then pass them onto the md5col thing
along with the required hash. It may take longer than 45mins but it will happen before the next release of the
    linux kernel is out.

This works if the implementation of the tar ignores the garbage you concatenate to the end of the tarball.
The problem here is some implementations have a running CRC which is concatenate at the end, attempt to modify
the crc so that it takes the garbage into account and tarball wont be able to extract the archive, don't place
the CRC there and the utility will post a big ugly message on the screen of an error. Happen to be using tar in
a chain of commands and the result is the whole chain will fail.

Actually you are wrong, its an implementation fault and has nothing to do with the protocol
description. Read the advisory: http://www.uniras.gov.uk/niscc/docs/br-20051114-01 013.html?lang=en

It specifically states implementation of protocol. The whole problem is related to incorrect
parser engines of SNMP, IKEv1 and ASN.1 et al. type data structures.
