Somehow missed that one, myself (posted on a Saturday - that's why). I was wondering why I hadn't seen gator around much on the office ad-aware scans. Now claria, that's a name i've been seeing. don't think i like it any more.
SCO is just coming to terms with exactly how much they are hated and trying to change horses in mid-stream. But it won't work. Subpeanas are still PITAs and it doesn't matter whose name is on the letterhead of the C&D.
A lot of techs i know have blown off the iPod and are currently using another device to provide portable storage and audio playback. The iRivers are incredibly popular amoung 'i.t. people'. I know a lot of folks rave on about Creative's products as well. I personally like the Neuros.
From a tech standpoint the iPod lacks some functionality, or has too high a price point for many of us. But from marketing, fashion, and the MTV crowd it is the "it" thing to own. No one can predict these things though. "It" just happens. Like a $45 trucker hat.
From the article: Demonstrating unwavering commitment to meet the needs of its customers, HP was the first major Linux vendor to offer indemnification protection against SCO-related lawsuits, thus enabling HP's customers to continue their Linux deployment plans with confidence. Elizabeth Phillips - HP spokesperson.
Oh yeah, i'd almost forgot about SCO. What's Darl up to these days? I love how HP jumps on the pro open source bandwagon by reminding everyone how they were the first to scoff at SCO.

3. Investing into already mature companies (IBM, Dell, etc.)
4. Investing in real estate which then drives land prices and local tarriffs up, making it harder for first time buyers.
5. Buying luxury items. Is a 5% increase in yacht sales enough to prompt boatbuilders to hire and train new American employees? Is Mercedes going to have a job fair because they're selling a few hundred more units per month?
I got an email about that the other day! AOL, Intel and Microsoft have teamed up to reward users! Bill Gates is sharing his wealth! Just reply with your e-mail address, and I will forward all the information you need. Forward it to as many people as you can think of. The more people you send it to the more money you get!
I read the article (both actually -- sorry!). It seems that at least one of the websites that host(ed) the video has a racist leaning. And, presumably, they're trying to make a metaphor about young aspiring rap stars (or blacks in general if you prefer) to the effect that they are "trash" that needs to be cleaned from housing projects (as in be removed or killed).
Since this young man killed himself in the housing project of which he was a part (in a sense, since he lived there), according to the metaphor describe above, the housing project in question "cleaned" itself by removing (killing) this "trash".
i know plenty of poor white trash in the redneck ghetto (yeah, hard to imagine) town i live in that could use a little "self cleaning". I think trashy people transcend all races
Yeah - this is the first to implement ALL of those, but that it was the logical next step... Most boards these days have at least one (or two) of those 'premium' features... it wasn't too long before someone came along and consolidated 'em....
You're right. It's certainly not part of my salary, but it is part of my total 'compensation' package. My employer pimps the bonus hard too. It's all we hear about all year long. "We might not pay our employees as well, but that bonus sure evens it up a bit..." Or 'How this or that will affect the annual bonus'. I think if i didn't get a sizable bonus, i'd look for new employment.
second that. i work as LAN support in virginia and nearly 1/4 of my yearly salary is in bonus. The bonus is paid if the company 'does well'. The last two years have been great, and my peers and i have capped out our yearly bonuses.
There's always the microwave in the employee breakroom. Guaranteed to destroy small electronics placed within - in a matter of seconds.
no no no no. That was just your camera trying to honor the old 'what happens in vegas, stays in vegas' rule.
Claria Explains It All.

Van Allen comments that 'the only surviving motivation for continuing human spaceflight is the ideology of adventure.'
or to scope out new places to bury our earth garbage.
My reception or lack there of using TDMA or GSM is bad enough already.
AND this thing runs windows?
Begin No Carrier joke posts now!
And to rub it in SCO's face Chrysler announced today it will be releasing their own Crossfire Linux available for free download at chrysler.com
You have to sue special software to use them for file storage. That's a fatal flaw in my book.
or use Windows XP?

But don't forget to check e-bay for some great deals on new and used iPods in the Durham, NC area.
How many freshman already have iPods. How many could care less? How many wouldn't mind an extra couple hundred bucks for beer money?

So it appears another driver can take control of your car.
So.
Who's driving your car? One steering wheel per car. One set of pedals.
"I swear officer, i wasn't speeding. He was!"

Why would Marxists oppose hitting the White House? You can't get much higher up the ruling class than the man they elected to run the show...
make way for the "in USA, government soviets YOU!!!"
What if the guy loses the suit and pays for it with his American Express card?
It'd be even funnier if he was paying his webhost bills with his MC.
your post could have only been better had you started it with "Pop quiz, hotshot..."
Thank-you, goodnight.

The problem is with companies being hesitant to provide open source drivers, will the cause only headaves for OSS users?
