    It's about as much of a highway in a city you will get, unless the Pie Guy is dodging cars and jumping over cement blocks on I-95. The fact that you can't turn anywhere makes it just like waiting to get to the next exit on a regular highway.

    The dead drive in the laptop is probably smaller than 2GB. Therefore, it could be $15 to replace it.

    Actually, you probably will not be able to use it. The tower would, of course, have to use the same technology as your phone (GSM, CDMA, TDMA, etc.) and operate on the same frequency (850, 1900, etc.). Your provider would also need to have a roaming contract with the company that puts up the tower, and that tower would have to be set up to honor the roaming contract.

    This is just another indicator that oil production is beginning to decline. To keep up with the growing market demand from increased population, developing countries, etc., oil companies are looking into new and dangerous ways to get the remaining oil on earth.     It takes more fossil fuel energy to make hydrogen fuel cells than the fuel cells will give. At every step energy is lost in the form of heat. Therefore, it's actually more efficient to burn the fossil fuels directly.

    Amen to that. I would be happy if only my TiVo could record HBO. As it is, I would need to use a cable box to change channels and none of the cable boxes let TiVo change them (no, not even the Motorola).

    The DRM in the iTMS files is acutally very limited. You can share the music on a few computers, copy it to your iPod, and even burn to a standard audio CD. It only prevents you from sharing it with a bunch of people you don't know.

    Search engines are getting even worse by throwing in search results that are hardly relevant, just because they got paid money by the company. Google doesn't "throw in" advertisements. Their ads are either on the side or clearly marked ad sponsored links.
