Hmmm... I don't know if you were going for Flamebait but I have a feeling you stepped on a few toes...
Most of the Warp artists are VERY popular with the music Snobbish Elite, and less so with the General Masses.
As a card carrying music snob, I am happy to say that Boards of Canada is the best band in the entire universe (this is a fact, by the way, not an opinion), and I am happy to see this little development.

You could have said that about Nintendo in the 80's and early 90's... Then along came a blunder called the Nintendo 64.
If we've learned anything, it's that you can never predict what will happen when the next generation of concoles comes out.
And as far as Nintendo being on the way out... The price drop to 99$ has (arguably) put them back in the #2 spot. They're still the undisputed king of the handheld market (N-Gage being as good as say... N'Sync- AND as cleverly named), and unlike Microsoft, they actually make a profit everytime they sell a console.
According to this article over at the register, Garageband is based on Emagic's Logic Audio software. I've been using Logic Platinum for a few years now and I can honestly say that it's the best software ever made. Ever.
Actually, as a vegetarian, I'd rather my kid be playing GTA than Deer Hunter, since shooting cops with a chain gun is very Obviously Bad, whereas shooting animals with guns is considered "normal" in some circles.
I had a similair problem with my old lady, who would look at me in disgust everytime I sat down to play some Grand Theft Auto. I did some investigating though, and decided to pick up a Gamecube (only 99$ now people. You have no excuse). The Gamecube is perfect, as it's got tons of fun 2-4 player games. We've played a ton of Mario Party 4, F-Zero GX, and 007 just to name a few. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys "social gaming".
The only downside is increased visits from in-laws.
I can hear an auto-tuned track as well, and I'm using the latest VST version. Haven't used Melodyne yet, but I've read all it's vitals.
By the way, to all the would be Britney Spears out there, you have to be at least closer the pitch you are trying to hit than the pitch above or below it. I can't tell you how many godawful sessions I've done where the vocalist was SO off key that Autotune couldn't figure out what pitch it was supposed to be and "corrected" it the wrong way.

This kind of reminds of some of the research I read while investigating higher sample rates in recorded digital music. In the very recent past, proffesional music studios used to record in 48 kHz, and then dither down to 44.1 kHz (the sample rate of music CD's). The main disadvantage to this is that the highest recorded frequeny would be 24 kHz (this is due to the Nyquist Theorum), and CD's do not reproduce any sound above 22.05 kHz.
Some research has been done showing that the inclusion of frequencies above 22.05 kHz, which are mostly inaudible, do in fact lead to increased activity in the brain. What this activity is, however, has not yet been identified.

I can't wait until all Slashdot comments are nothing but long strings of esoteric acronyms.
For the very very long story go here. It's one of the legal declarations from the case.
Try Googling "Domain Name Lawsuit" and then tell me there's only one way to get a domain name.
