Thank you. I don't think people bother to look anywhere down the road. I'm not planning to get a job today, I'm planning to get a career. I believe that there will be a need in the future for air transport of goods and people. Just because today they're going through hardtimes, doesn't mean they wont recover. I realize that with the internet getting faster and faster webconferencing is getting more and more popular, they use it here at work. But I still believe that people are going to want to meet person to person and thus need to travel. Plus vacations etc. So I see there being an airline industry for sometime to come. Perhaps when transporters are available will my job become that of a taxi driver or bus driver. But until then I think I'm safe.

This may be true, but I think it's better than sitting in my parents basement unemployed and making no money. No offense to anyone.

Anyway I can't join the US AirForce, I live in Canada, and I don't think we have all that many planes nor do we shoot people with them. Nor do I WANT to shoot people. I'm happy shooting Imps and Zombies in Doom 3.

But I just figured it would be a good way to travel. I don't expect to graduate and instantly be flying a 777 or something. I'll probably end up a bush pilot for a bunch of years up in the middle of no where in northern Canada building up flight time.

But to each their own. Persue whatever interests you. This is something I've always wanted to do, so what if I don't make a quarter of a million a year, if I'm happy what else matters?

Oh and I only make $28,000 CDN now anyway, $25,000 US is more than what I make. Though I'm not saying I'd look forward to that, I'm just giving you a reference.

I think I'm glad I'm changing courses at school, from a tech job route, to Commercial Pilot. I'm almost positive that when I got out of college/university following the tech sector route I'd have a harder time looking for work.

I feel sorry for all those people who've lost jobs. Perhaps there's not enough innovation going on? Nah probably the Economy.

I've never used watercooling myself, but doesn't it require a bit more maintainance than say your fan cooled processor? I think that might be a problem for some people. Then again I doubt those people will be buying $1000 processors.

I guess though, at some point in the future water cooling will have to be implimented in some form.

Does this mean in the future I'll just download a new design off the internet for my processor and install it and suddenly have a more heat efficient processor, or say one more specific to my needs. Or perhaps have a few different layouts on disk that i can change to. That sounds pretty far out, but a neat idea.

I ride my bike 8.88 miles to work every day along busy 4 lane streets. There's sort of a sidewalk if you want to call it that, but it's mostly just a thin crappily paved strip next to the road just up onthe curb. So I usually ride along the road. I also have to cross on/offramps and cross bridges without any where to go. So I usually take up half a lane. Make the drivers change lanes, and if they don't I sort of have a place to ride over to and hope they don't hit me.

Also, I work 12am to 12pm, so I do a lot of it at night. And half the street lights don't work. Do I fear getting hit? yes. But it's my only means of timely transportation at the moment. Only got 2100 miles on te bike though.

I did almost this very same thing. I took everything out of my case to clean all the dust off everything. Put it back together in a rush and forgot to plug in the fan on the heatsink. I had a Digidoc5 and it beeps every now and again. And so it started beeping when I turned on my PC and I thought meh it always does that. But then it didn't shut up so I look at it and it was reading 88C on my t-bird. I pulled the plug and then fixed the problem. Scared the crap out of me though.

Another thing I did... was take one of those A/V carts at school, a metal one, plug it into the wall and then attach wires from the plug to the cart. Attempting to make some sort of device to electrocute my friend. Instead it started sparking and fried the guy fixing the photocopier on the otherside of the wall. He was not pleased. But I was in like grade 8 then, so whoopdeedo.

I bought a MD player before, it was over priced and the software sucked, so I took it back. However I loved the idea of it, and how small it was. My biggest problem with them though was the lack of capacity, I was told by the sales person that it was the same capacity as a CD, so I assumed 650 MB not the 200 MB that it really is (or somewhere there abouts). Anywho this is perfect, I would by one of these, assuming it would play the MP3 format, and not the Sony format of which I can't recall the name. Neat idea thought.
