Which is still a great phone btw. I have gotten use to the circular key pad but I still need to look at it to enter numbers. It was a one time sexy-ness attempt that failed.
Please someone tell me why Hollywood is allowed to put a Ferrari into a movie (even though the driver is the villain), but you can't put a Ferrari into a video game if you're not EA.
Simple. Because you actually bought the Ferrari for the movie shot. But you are only using the trademarks of design and logos in the video game - and what you are driving in the video game is an artists re-creation of the car/logo.
If you bought the Ferrari and a video game had full-motion video cutscenes of you driving around in it, it would be ok.
Hiya,
I guess this makes sense. The problem, however, is that when you have a free-as-in-beer product and it is OSS, you do not have an exclusivity on training or service contracts.
In fact, you may be at a disadvantage in that other companies can focus solely on support or training, while you have the added burden of development. While true that you might be the company that knows the software best, like I said before - it isn't rocket science.
Guess it didn't work. So three people had to knock it down cause I start with +2 for my valuable opinions.
The rule is: when you attack/. readers and you are incorrect in your criticism, you are ignored. If you are correct in your criticism, you go to -2 heretic.
And I do appreciate the mods here validating my pov.
I'm wondering how does someone who is 'ceo' of something that is totally free make money. Service contracts? My host provides free service/consulting for MySQL (icdsoft.com). And besides, it ain't rocket science.
Perhaps this is a good thing - and if the risk for a regular W2 job is the same as a self-employed 1099 job, then it is an impetus for people to get the better 1099 jobs.
However, you are very incorrect that there are no 'stable' jobs available (and I'm not talking about the pun of my sister poster).
Government jobs are such. They may pay less than others but part of the trade off is near absolute job security.
I doubt people on the far-right and far-left are big gamers to begin with.
Any evidence of that? Don't be silly - I definitly was a big gamer and a very right wing guy. There are a lot of political views out there in gaming- just listen in on Xbox live sometime.
I'm not really sure. This is a pretty dicey area. I do suspect that ultimately this will be ruled as unconstitutional - at least without a warrent.
It's also a technology problem. Yes, it probably is wrong and unconstitutional to use a GPS tracker, but it would not be to have a satallite following you around.
It would be perfectly legal for you to remove the GPS device and put it on Ebay or place it on another car (preferably another police car heheh). But it is legit for them to use this I suppose.
Actually, it's a pretty safe bet that they will be forward compatible. MS purchased a firm that specializes in emulating the x86 architecture on a powerPC platform about the time they decided they were going to powerPC for the Xbox Next.
I could give a much more detailed response, but the crux of why you are silly and wrong is that both interest rates and inflation are exceptionally low in the US and have been for a very long time. Were everything you were saying true, this would not be the case.
The dollar's fall is unrelated to the state of the economy. Monetary policies in both contries are controlled by the government. So why has the dollar fallen? Because interest rates are low. And interest rates are staying low - normally a falling currency results in the interest rates coming back up.
This is only allowed to happen here and now because the US economy is so strong that despite poor interest returns, people still feel safe putting money here and buying our bonds. And guess what nation is the number two foreign holder of US equity? The supposed 'American hating' France. Lets take a look some more reliable statitics:
GDP growth for 2004 (est): US - 3.1%, France - 0.5% GDP Per capita PPP: US - 37,800, France - $27,600 Unemployment: US - 6% (lower now), France - 9.7% Public Debt as % of GDP: US - 62.4%, France - 68.8%
The French system is different from the US/UK system. In the US/UK systems, the shareholders interest come first before the law. They can lay people off, off-shore jobs, merge, etc. if they think that is what will best enhance shareholder value. This is a good thing because it makes company's more competitive and, because the guarantee of control is there, it is easier to raise funds from investors for new job-creating project/companys/IPOs.
In France, however, management has priority in the law. You might think that the shareholders control the company through a board of directors appointing the CEO and others in management, but the truth is under law the equity owners are extremely limited in making the kind of company-saving decisions that they can in the US. The result is an anemic economy.
This is a seperate issue from the French government offering to become specially involved, but is relevant to EA's ability to affect Ubisoft in the same way they would any other company in the US inwhich they owned 20% of the shares.
That's the worse problem with PC games - very very little quality control. It is assumed that new release games will have problems that will need to be patched. It's the nature of the beast, in part, because the PCs are presumed to be connected to the net and patching is easy ANd because of the wide variability in hardward/OSs that people will be trying to run the game on.
None of those exist with consoles and the games are nearly perfect.
Use the term 'occidental' if you want and it is ineffective because no one knows what that means. Everyone knows what 'oriental' means.
See here for what it means unless you are too niggardly in developing your knowledge of the real meaning of the term.

Sorry, but your attempt at karma whoring has failed.

This is particularly problematic given the built-in battery lasts for only 7 months..
Hell yeah - straight to -1 flame bait for me baby!

whelp, just remember to meta-moderate daily and fix the problem.

And similar discussions about who is 'retarded' and who is a 'cheater.' It gets pretty deep there on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Who skimmed the article to try and see what Zoe Flower looked like and was disappointed not to see a picture?

He doesn't have to mention that the gold lots are for charity in the post. Maybe just a link to his site that describes the program.

Maybe you are right - I was just reaching for something. The Gay and Will and Grace thing is probably a better example.
