Just because someone's still listed there doesn't mean that SCO hasn't pissed them off. A lot of them probably don't deal with SCO anymore, but didn't bother to get off the list.
I'm on the list, and I assure you, I won't let my clients upgrade to anything SCO unless they're forced at gunpoint.
If you're starting a business then missing an email IS a big deal. If a client emails you expecting service and you don't see it you could lose them. Better put in a white list with ALL your client domains in it!
That's funny. SCO used to get LOTS of different vendors to keynote for them, like CA and IBM. This year it looks like there are two companies: SCO and HP.
Why don't they just put a kernel up on kernel.org with those FEATURES TOTALLY REMOVED?
Those who don't need the "SCO" features can use those on the uniprocessor (vast majority, right?) machines while those with multi-cpu can pay SCO (or tell them to get bent.. )
"The summary on the whole thing is: the reality is that IBM and Red Hat have painted a Linux liability target on the backs of their customers. We have had no choice... we didn't want to go in this direction but they've pushed us. Yesterday was another push in that direction."
I don't buy this for a minute. SCO pushed THEMSELVES into this corner. RedHat and IBM merely gave customers what they wanted, which is something SCO can't do.
The FCC doesn't care about anything but who the highest bidder is. They barely enforce any laws. Their concern is making sure all the huge corporations get all the spectrum and the little guy is shut out!
Being a Ham Radio operator, I used to have respect for the FCC, but Michael Powell is nothing more than a corporate shill.
Unfortunately, the Republicans are all Law & Order as long as it's someone else they're applying it to. TRUE conservatives are not into this "who has the gold makes the rules" stuff.
DOH! Cut myself off like a HOSEHEAD... ok, here goes:
If you're going to be an actual journalist, there's no place for you here anyway. There hasn't been any real journalism going on since 1987 when the FCC eliminated the fairness doctrine. Reporters are usually "required" to spew their CEOs viewpoints now .

What do I do? I don't watch anymore. Farscape only comes on once a week now, so I only watch:
Simpsons King of the Hill Futurama (hmm.. all cartoons..) Farscape (now reduced to once a week, Sundays at FRELLING MIDNIGHT)
I used to watch TV news all the time but now I get it from NPR or off the net. The TV news is way too right-wing biased, and the white house press corps is way too chickenshit to do their job anymore.
You're kidding. We have TW here too, and it's the best in town. My connection goes down maybe once a year, if that often. The DSL here is the crappy one.
..to censor their cache. Those that don't want their content cached should fix their web servers and firewalls first. My web site prohibits known web crawler bots, and google doesn't cache it. No problem! I didn't have to harrass google about it and they don't have to break their own promise to not be evil.
A closer look at the webcast rates shows that it charges.07 cents per song per listener. For the math challenged, if you have 100,000 listeners, you pay 70 cents per song.
It's seventy DOLLARS per song.
100000 listeners *.07 cents = 7000 cents.

Mr. Stallman:
It is -NOW- time to file suit! What are you waiting for?
Tcl/Tk allows you to write GUIs very quickly without the need for C/C++, but you can mix 'em up with C/C++ if you like.
Downside: The widgets aren't pretty.
Upside: I can whip out a GUI in a day!
..so, has Microsoft actually ever been held accountable when windows doesn't work as planned?

CATsup over Ketchup!!
If I want tracking, I'll go to UPS or Fedex. If I want CHEAP I go to the USPS. If the USPS does this tracking bit, mail will get more expensive.
TiVo has not "stolen" anything from SCO's market. SCO has clearly not marketed anything for any processor other than Intel and its clones.
Of course, the Intel market hasn't "stolen" anything from SCO either. SCO pissed it all away and the market decided.
Many of the embedded devices aren't on Intel.
SCO has no non-intel offerings.
That's funny. SCO used to get LOTS of different vendors to keynote for them, like CA and IBM. This year it looks like there are two companies: SCO and HP.
How many of us use:
NUMA
RCU
Journaled File System?

Linus??

Wish I had points to mod you up with.

The Better Business Bureau is a scam all by itself. They're very useless. Don't bother. Go to the FTC and REAL trade groups instead.

Someone PLEASE mod parent up. This guy is SOOO right.
NBC isn't an acronym. An acronym has to be pronouncable as a word, like FUBAR, or FUD.
NBC is just initials.
