You've got to be kidding. Firefly and Farscape were both much better with dialogue and writing than SG-1 ever was.
SG-1 ranks as "good" but it's definitely NOT the best there ever was.

The problem with Pascal's wager is that it assumes there is one and only one God, and that by not believing in him/her/it you are bound for Hell and by believing in him/her/it you are not bound for Hell.
Suppose there are two or more Gods and you believe, but you believe in the wrong one?
Also, how can you "make yourself believe" something? You believe based upon what information you have, nothing more, nothing less. Something either makes sense and is believable or it does not and is not.
Considering what Delta charges Cincinnatians (the most expensive airport (or #2) in the nation) they should be able to afford a BUTLER to carry each piece of luggage.
Of course, the rest of the time, the airlines all whine about being broke and ask congress for a big bailout.

I have two master level certs, and let me tell ya. Didn't help one bit. Not one extra penny. It cost me a lot of time though. The BEST certification you can get is a reputation among your peers. Join a networking professional organization in your town!!
Man, you got up on the WRONG side!! Sounds like when you were a sysadmin you probably weren't all that good at it.
Most net admins I knew were good at what they did and made things work fine. I guess your opinion is that if accountants and bean counters had sniffers and router passwords, then perhaps THEY could all fix their own stuff? Is that what you're saying?
1: NO industry can "regulate itself." Look at Enron. Look at the whole energy industry! Allowing ANY industry to regulate itself really means "Allowing a free-for-all."
2: The FCC as it currently stands, is ineffective at anything more than handing out spectrum to the highest bidder, eliminating competition, causing the news to be more and more biased, and getting America all in an uproar over Janet Jackson's boob. However, when stations in general don't serve the public interest, nothing is done.

If Seagate is too stupid to get contracts from the employees then they DESERVE to lose here.

Vertically oriented screens have to become popular and common before eBooks really catch on.
I can't stand reading a PDF on a horizontally oriented screen. My next raptop may have a swivel screen of some sort.

You "manage" to enjoy it, eh? Sounds like an effort.
