    And what is stopping you from negotiating your own terms? As far as I know, this is physically possible and even legal.

    Absolutely nothing. Good luck getting any telco employee to actually sign a negotiated contract, though.

    Heck, any company with more than one branch or 10 employees...

    Yeppers, but your grandparents probably both knew how to carry, maintain and USE Garands or Enfields... I strongly doubt the majority of the youth are that capable anymore.

    I suspect that they weren't taught that skill from the cradle. I have no doubt that should conscription again become a necessary evil, the youth of today will perform as well as those in WW2.

    Well, yes. One could also say the same about the firebombing of Dresden.
    I'd suggest that use of this type of ordnance in urban areas probably falls foul of the geneva convention somewhat, especially with modern urban combat.

    That said, I did a FISH (Fighting In Somebody's House, previously known as FIBUA :p ) exercise once, and the though of doing it for real brought me out in a cold sweat, so I can see the advantages of it.

    which stolen goods might you be referrring to? Unless this chap shoplifted dvd's and cd's and made those physical units available on his site, nothing has been stolen. Copyright has been infringed and that is all. Prison worthy? Nope, not even slightly.

    Funny you should say that about pole-top solar panels. There was an article in the New Scientist talking about 'what would happen if...', and one of the points was if electricity had been discovered at the beginning of the industrial revolution we wouldnt have ended up with a grid system, but a system based around villages and towns, with the generator being water/wind powered.

    Off topic, I'll grant you, but I like the thought. I'd link, but it's a premium content thing and my subscription's expired
