I guess the one true complaint, at least in Disney's case, is that they've seemed to be so busy milking old franchises that they haven't bothered to create any new ones.
While I tend to agree with you, as in I just do not watch tne sequels of classic's. I as well disagree in the fact that they have not tried to make new franchises. The problems with the new franchises they are creating are that they are driven from a business/marketing point of view, which the resulting outcome is awfulatbest.
Maybe Microsoft should throw in the source code to Microsoft Bob to sweeten the pot a little?

All this talk about any kind of boom makes me want to find my illudium Q-38 explosive space modulator. Alas, it will never have the effect it should have.
The company itself is worth 7 billion. They don't need to "make it back". Buying a company who has actual market value is not the same as buying 7 billion dollars worth of cheeseburgers. The company can increase in value, and maybe sell later for an even greater amount (or vice versa, depending if pixar bucks the trend).
I don't know if I would be comfortable with the idea of having all my music hosted by someone else. Obviously with local security you can only do so much, but for people that thought apple suggesting songs via itunes as a breach of privacy, having some service house your whole music collection surely shoots up the red flag and makes this thing a tasty target for the RIAA. Who needs logs when you have the whole collection.
I think the series would make for an excellent take as a RTS game. It has everything needed for a game of this type. Multiple races, an expansive universe (take planets on a gate by gate basis). Vehicles and soldier classes are already part of the series. Could be pretty cool.
It seems I am seeing more negative apple stories here on slashdot as of late. Looks like Emporer Gates issued "code 66". All cult-of-mac are now enemies of the Republic(NasdaqNM:MSFT).
If this kind of behavior continues from the US government, there will be a point of no return. Eventually just link to http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/09/22/00 39208&tid=153 and do a find and replace China with US government. Easy enough. Will save a lot of typing.
We have pretty much no security policies where I work, and as such really no security problems that I could see. Just my $.02

Does your washing machine make pizza? Does your television cut your lawn? My PSP plays MP3's, and does so, poorly. With it's limited one gig memory stick, (which I paid 150 bucks for, thanks sony) it makes an awful media device. With it's poor selection of games, it also makes an awful gaming device. I have a DS, which for sometime collected dust. Fortunately though my DS (might I remind you, a game platform) has games coming out for it, and I am thrilled. I will leave MP3's to my ipod, which also was designed for its purpose and does it well.
They had ipod's during the Neolithic age. They consisted of two rocks, some twigs, coconuts for headphones. All this was basically held together by dried feces and were prone to scratching. So I guess much has not changed.
I happen to be at the home of (999)999-9999 on asdasdasd street in XXXXX area code and I get so much junk mail/telemarketing calls you would not believe it.
I was once the victim of a fuzzing. It left me walking bow-legged for weeks.

I tried this on my new intel mac, and it turned it into a ZEOS 486/DX2 66. Can I get a replacement?

I prefer the book Microsoft Paint : A guide to drawing naked stick figures on public computers

... or maybe it's just a TV show and should not be taken so seriously? Just a thought.
Bet you never knew that TI actually stood for The Illuminati
