My wife is about as non-gamer as you can get. Well, I bought Animal Crossing for the Gamecube a few years back. She played it for months, eventually losing interest of course, but still for someone that did not usually play games this was quite a feat. I would highly recommend Animal Crossing or Animal Crossing Wild World for anyone that is not traditionally into games. As for Nintendo, I applaud them for this and other attempts at pushing the envelope and can only hope this goes on into the future. There should be more games like this. Not everyone wants the next GTA or Halo.
They do a google search for "backdoor" and "windows", then just take their pick. Microsoft if nothing else, offers a variety of backdoors for your every need.
Tomorrow on slashdot: "Wintoo Announced" "Win32 installation that compiles itself to the specific needs of the hardware upon installation. Developers for Wintoo are remaining anonymous for the time being."

I saw this same FUD before the DS came out. How the unstoppable Sony machine was going to eliminate the DS, and that Nintendo, in a year no doubt, would be out of the market. Fast forward over a year later and while Nintendo is busy trying to keep the DS in stock, Sony is busy trying to convince people that the PSP was designed to watch the movie "Hitch". End game, match Nintendo.

After Cisco is done buying out Nintendo AND TiVo. The only problem we will have after this is those pesky flying pigs, and getting the heat turned back on in hell.
Unfortunately on slashdot if you insult and belittle someone's beliefs you get modded up as funny or interesting or even insightful. However, do the same for any kind of science theory or point out that maybe insulting others beliefs is not funny in your opinion, and you will get quickly modded down as a troll or flamebait, much as this post will.
Try thinking outside the box a little. Instead of complaining that "I need to buy a new machine just to use this even faster video card", think like me in the fact that with new tech, price drops occur on the older but still great video cards. I think this is a great thing.
In order to remove it under Add/Remove programs you have to check off the box "Show Updates". If you are like me and have a lot of ActiveX functions that need to be run, then you will find this piece of advice most helpful since it pretty much breaks everything.
Disney/Pixar to buy out Nintendo so Apple can aquire a games console platform to move into the living room.
Taco Bell to buy out Depends diapers for adults because the two seem to go hand in hand after a stuffed burrito.

I do remember that the TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine had turbo controllers out of the box. They were very similiar in layout to the NES controllers, but slightly better sized for larger hands. They had three different turbo settings (which came in really handy in any Bonk game). I loved that controller.
If not officially translated, it has a large enough fanbase to where an unoffical translation may take place. Much like the 1997 fanmade translation of Final Fantasy 5 for the Super Famicom. I for one seriously hope it does get an official translation.
