They have had keyboard for almost 25+ years that you could drop into a sterlizer with no problems. Taska or some such company made it. Have one and its pretty strange but works well.
I remember that series Magnum Robot Fighter 4000 AD. Not the retelling one but the orginal from the 60's.
Actualy in the movie Runaway with Tom Select and the guy from Kiss. THere was a seen where a guard robot traped one of the character. Some lady. THey just turn on the sprinklers to stun it.
Two Big Mac.... Two Large Fry's... One Large Vanila Milkshake.... One Medium Rootbeer... One Samll Coke... One Happy Meal.... One full tank of Desel....
If your near Alberson they been running a lot of 10 for 10 dollars items lately. Fill up 1/2 of the freezer with those small microwave meals { hey Im a programmer! } each batch of 10 save me almost 7 dollars. And they are not half bad!
Also if nears a frys check every so many days for their flyers. Usualy have some strange mb/cpu deal that usualy is prety good. Latest item are deals on DVD+R for about 0.60 for 25.
Also CompUsless have black ad's some times listed only on there site. BestBut and others usualy post ther weekly ad's late saturday night on there web site.
Actually it WAS windows! I should say Windows CE. Heard that from some of the SD station talk show host that day. Some of the machines did not have the "voting" program on it so in windows basic thinking it pop up with a desktop and the Windows CE logo.
Thank goodness for 16 year old kids or the election in SD would have been a major disaster! These brave souls got the defective system at quite a few poling places back on line!
I like the idea of a barcode on a disposable card that pops out of the machine. Then get dumped into a sealed box as before but the computer keep a tally. Simple. The hardcopy is easy to shread or run through a reader if recount is required. Could even be erased but shows that a vote was counted. No hanging chades.
Use to work with punch card. HATED them every seconds. Esp when a deck crashed and card went everywhere!
Now if we can get humans out of the voting loop things will get better!
Dident I see a few week back that the SciFi channel to pick up Andromida and would show season 5 weekly epsodes first then the locals a few days later?
Intersting Captain: A show was canceled just before it hit the SciFi channel not when it takes off on same channel.
1) Convince the US goverment this is a multi billion dollar reveneue source that is untaped. This would pass in a heart beat.
2) Create Balastic Armor for this occurance. Simular to explosive charges on some tanks. When it pop up, it terminates the popup and send a legal Hard Drive data eating viris back to the host system.
3) Or when I click on "Ok". They agree to deposit 10,000,000,000 per month in that user bank acount for the next 10 years. All comging from a escrow fund.
4) They must fund a cleanup fund that would pay to have there junk removed.
I get so sick of seeing the count on Ad Away and others go triple and one in a while go 4 digits due to this junk working on computer that have either slowed down or crash.
When I was growing up around 1968 - 1969 Raython had a series of kits that you could build circuits with out wires by touching blocks together and the ground was a metal plate. Connections were metal contact with magnets behind that.
The Learning Company has had this since the early 1980 in a game called Robot Odyssey. You could wire stuff up and solve puzzles. I rember since I was on the conversion crew from the Apple II/IBM PC to Color computer.
Its a nice idea but has been done for a long long time.
Have that card in another computer. Problem is the ATI drives is too easy to install and does not crash correctly. Also its just a cut down 3D card. Since Nvida caugh them flat footed on this next generation of game play.
But the new Nvida drives is a pure ASCII driver that allows for full hyper quick 8bit access while the ATI only allows for 128bit wide slowing down the screen on fast action and sometime produceing very shakey or misspelled text due to the text not fitting as precisely in memory as the text on the Nvida card. Just too much slop with the extra bits said most reviewers.
The orginal Technical manual had a secmatic for a walk talky in it. Problem was it use Red, Green and BLUE led. Had to wate a few years to build due to no blue leds!
I purchased a solid state no moving parts capasity sensing ascii keyboard in the early 1980's. It was simular to the ST style. It had the abbility to be boil as in stralizing it!
There is a new portable keyboard for PDA's that uses a laser pattern laying out a keyboard on a surface and a camera to detect what key you pressed. Its about 100 dollars.
Wasent there an anime movie about such a device. Some hospital bead power by a Military developed processor that went nuts?

One Large Vanila Milkshake....
One Medium Rootbeer...
One Samll Coke...
One Happy Meal....
One full tank of Desel....
Pricless....
I have lost count of the number of people powering that WV engine by fry oil. It so simple as to be a non branner.
Have seen and read this every time the pice of fuel jump enough to grab a head line. Its nothing new.
Actualy the cable companes do this with their cable modems. But now with pallets full at your local warehouse store its a mood point.
They have been pushing for rent the software like the old orignal IBM modles for the last ten years.
I hope they realize this is not a phone or cable modem but they will need to maintain this. And there state of maintance is pritty poor!
Nice but everyone has a difference resistance... Some almaost non existant and others can short out anything.
Heat could do it.
Remember "Locks only keep honest people out."
Actualy was on Mythbuster. And it was EEL skin wallets and other things.

It was a very advance system for the time. Have seen somthing like it a few years ago but not up to that level but using the magnets/contact idea.
The Raido link is intersting but is this just bluetooth?

Your are right. It was uses 2nd season. By a gard at a base.
Actualy the durable case part was the giveaway!

Any one know when Nvida will release the new Hyper speed 2D drivers to play it at full speed?

Actualy we did but was mid to late 1970's. Remember the Altar? It even had switches to toss!
Kind of like the mess they came up with for Starship Trooper. Sheech that was horrible!
But we still have the book! Just by the look of it another S Smith bad picture.
Actualy between that and the Rusan Brawn shuttle.
