Sorry. Thats not true. They are trying to piggy back a signal on a line that is not shielded by either a sheath of metal enclosing the conductor or twisted as in cat5 or cat3 cable. Its one big long wire which makes for a good antenna.
You will need a few "repeaters" to get the signal as far as a DSL signal with no "repeater". IE it going to cost big time for this mess.
The whole thing is its been tried around the world and has failed so badly and cost so much that a string and two tin cans work better than this poor idea. Non of the benifits hold true after it up and running when they test it.
Instead of this mess, lay fiber alongside of the power wires. Will be cheeper in the long run and is the future not this poor concept.
Saw some where on one of the BG Web BBS before it was done the script of the mini series and they went into detail at the begining why. I think they had used them in some Clonal wars or something like that. And they turned at that point.
From reading some stuff that the creator of window, icons click etc back in the early 70's. He was not that happy with using it to manage files programes etc. He orginaly designed it as the interface of Smalltalk { programming language } I am also supprised that the 2d desktop inviroment has lasted this long.
Instead of a goofy interface of 3d 4d etc. Just develop a helper to sort through the mess! Yep create a small manager you interact with! Or simply a maid to come by and tidy up the "place".
Just rememberd either a popular science or mechanics issue that had such an item maybe on its front cover around mid 60 I think. The difference was it had the turning wing on both top and bottom.
I was wondering viewing the thread and the sites, could using a 3d game engine to create a simulation of the ride? Detail would be less but you could move the camera around. But would it be better than the coaster simulation out?
The last time I was at Disneyland in 93 I saw that the park really looked in need of repair but mostly in Tomorrowland. Esp on the People Mover ride where they were drive motors missing every so offen.
When I went for a Gradnight in 74 the park looked pretty good but that one along with other ride were closes. When I went back in 93. Star Tours had replaced it.

They beleved instead of Arturis or some far distant planet the Imperial Space Navy was attacking they though the re-broadcast was real and the main attacked was realy Earth!

There was a movie called Special Bultion or something about terrorst and a nucular device in Charlston SC. They had problems with showing it and woudl be a major panic if they evne showd it today.

The only shilding that will work on this is to encase the power lines in a heavy braded material.... Oops! Thats the defition for coax!
Actualy human are basicaly an analog unit. Good concept of using analog which in motor control works better than trying to do it digitaly.

The catch is there is no correct way to do BPL. Every where it has been tried it failes.
Same here. We also use it when a problem system comes in. Allows us to restore if a problem occured durning a repair job.

Well Apple did state it froze they last week.
The only thing I though was intersting on the orginal 3DO was the 15 minute video of a Animated Batman epsode demo on the include demo disk!
This thing sounds like a basic MHD generator. So impurites would proabbly help it.
