    If some kind of Linux is installed on the box when it's bought it should be trivial to install some other distribution. It probably isn't stuffed with Windows only hardware.

    In fact, the only operating systems that have ever given me grief are MSDOS and -- especially -- Windows.
    Then you must have good computer skills. Most judges don't have. And then they blame Linux.

    As people usually hate computers for not doing what they want them to do judges for shure will start hating Linux more than Windows.

    Yes but that would require more manpower than just decrypting all encrypted emails and sending a copy of them to the spies.

    I would still have to decrypt messages from my mother and sister so that I could read about angels, babies, black jokes, blonde jokes, redneck jokes, politician jokes, virus warnings that I am supposed to send to everyone I know, chain letters, and sentimental stories that would make lesser men cry. I would rather simply stop reading my email.
    If she wouldn't encrypt them but only the bomb instructions the spies would just need to decrypt a few mails.

    Anyway reading and writing mails with encryption should be so transparent that it wouldn't be an annoyance.

    I'm a happy emacs user, so I'm not emacs-bashing, but damn. Maybe it is a little bloated :)
    On the other hand Linux is just a bloated terminal emulator. I.e. Linus started making a termnal emulator and ended up with an OS.
