The problem isn't with computers, it's how they're used. Having them around for word processing, Powerpoint presentations and typing lessons is a waste. The WWW is where it's at.
It's mostly related to Creationism, but it doesn't all have to do with evolution. Fundamentalists aren't very fond of geology (the Flood), nuclear physics (carbon dating), etc.
How can I respectfully disagree with something that I think is idiotic? For example, I've got no respect for Creationism. It's wrong, painfully so, and letting something like that slide only encourages it.

How does the GPL prevent you from obfuscating your code? Why would you want to obfuscate your code in the first place - I mean, it's not like this is some kind of competition. What do DDoS attacks and DNS hijacking have to do with the license your software is released under? What exactly is a hostile fork anyhow?
By that logic, a text editor that uses \a for line breaks could say that it's cat's fault that your computer is beeping like mad and showing everything on one line.
What a ridiculous worry. If they were going to go to that trouble, why wouldn't they just advertise their products on the free blogs legitimately? Hell, it would be easier for them to just start making fake blogs than to set up a free service just so that they'd have a place to spam.
The most compelling demonstration is that *anything* (energy, the laws of physics, etc.) exists at all. This is why the majority of the world credits something outside of nature -- something extra-natural, even though it is impossible for us to explain.
Ahhh, the venerable argument from ignorance. We don't know why things exist, why not admit this instead of making up an explanation?
Nobody (except for a few blowhards that are inevitably a part of any group) is claiming that matter created itself or has always existed. It's merely the most likely possibility until somebody comes up with a better-supported idea.
In the same vein as "they hate us because we're free", "they laugh at us because they're jealous"?
But really, you are trolling. Nobody said Canada is a utopia, and while I wouldn't want to live there right now the US is hardly a hell.
Oh, and we can freely exchange pirated materials here.

You're right. If my employer didn't pay me it wouldn't be stealing - it would be breach of contract.
Copyright infringement isn't stealing for the same reason that murder isn't rape.
Right beside the preview button:
Extrans (html tags to text)
(Badly named.)
And what "single point of view" would that be?

Oh, and logic. They HATE logic.
Um... No. It has nothing to do with absolute vs. relative, and everything to do with nested tables vs. CSS.
I doubt it, as this bug is specific to abuse of tables for layout. Remember any URLs where you've seen it happen?
Better than you can speak Indianese.

Methinks IFI.
Yeah, it's a real pity that you can't change the port sshd runs on.
How do _you_ know that they are?
Maybe something like this is what you're looking for?
While it is a Firefox bug, it's only an issue because of Slashdot's abuse of tables. Neither party is blameless here.
It is a Firefox rendering bug, but one that only appears because of Slashdot's disgusting HTML.

I mean, cat's code should be bulletproof, right?
While normally I would be nodding vigorously in agreement, the article was talking about XSL:FO (which has quite a bit of overlap with CSS).
Say what? The :before and :after pseudo-elements are for generated content. They can't make anything clickable that wasn't already.
I'm glad to see that Slashdotters are such a literate bunch.
CSS can't change the structure of HTML, only the presentation.

No, that's why he qualified it with "modern web browsers".
It's because we're jealous of their freedom.
