    To honor him, every channel should show him at the same time for 5 minutes straight. People will start using their remotes to change the channel, only to get nowhere. Only then will they truly understand the importance of the remote control.

    The point wasn't about water use from the Great Lakes, but that the Lakes are physically rising...like a mountain would. If the bottom of the lake rises faster than the mouth than it will drain at a higher rate.

    None of that takes into account the transformation of the earth's surface under the water. How are they measuring that and its impact on the water level? I would assume that they take the moving of plates into account.

    How much of the work supposedly done by this individual were actually done by the child? What about the others considered for the award? Science fairs have become a huge joke, and I'm sorry if this child actually did this on his own. Even HS fairs have no credibility.

    Is Mark Twain saying that he plagiarized 99% of his books? I can see a lot of the book being from knowledge acquired during his life from other stories or the experiences of others. However, 99%? Really? I guess someone taught him the word "Finn" and therefore it is plagiarism to use it.

    For a company that doesn't pay a dividend, the only investment value is the valuation of the sale of that company. That sale value of the company depends on its equity, which includes the money that didn't get paid in dividends. However, if the company is never sold, there is no realized value of the company and so you are playing with paper...which is valued at a price around where people feel the company should be sold.

    Very true. However, the hype was like nothing Ive ever seen for an IPO. That means that it is likely overvalued. But yes, Facebook played it nicely. The investors are the ones that will get screwed.

    Tax breaks are fine, when done so in an unbiased manner. However, when they favor a specific corporation, a specific person, or people over corporations, or corporations over people, then you will get circumvention or entities taking advantage of the situation. Simply remove the bias in law.

    A strict Constitutionalist does not interpret the literal meaning in the sentences. (S)He tries to interpret the spirit of the sentences at the time they were written. Otherwise, they would think that people have the right to bear arms...as in the mammal's arms.

    I agreed with every sentence until the last one which seemed to come out of right field. What does Apple have a monopoly over? And don't think of claiming that their operating system is its own market without competition.

    It depends on your view whether a fetus is considered "life". It isn't completely irrational to take that stance. It is much the same as whether or not those in long-term comas should be considered a "life".

    You really have no idea how much of a key it is to the upcoming election for the GOP to appease the Ron Paul vote in order to have a chance to win in the general election. Without his supporters, Romney is dead in the water.

    Correct, but getting Ron Paul's follower's support is key #1 to the Republican strategy. If they don't get them, they'll lose to Obama. If they do get them, they'll win. Having a presence at the convention will just make that key even more important. The GOP is on a tight rope. What will they do?
