The dirty tricks you mention are carefully protected by laws, limiting what undercover officers can testify with later. The wrong stuff looks like entrapment. There are checks and balances in the system from past abuses.
Yes and NO. The flaw isn't a flaw, it is just ignored. You never really had privacy in the regards that they are talking about. However Since the information hasn't been obvious then people didn't notice it.
This woman took public information gathered it together. However because took public information and posted in a public place, about public officials, who are supposed to do work in discretion, she put their lives, and the their family lives in jeopardy. I can make a threatening statement to you over the internet and you won't care. However if I use your ID, to track you down using google, google maps, and started posting pictures of your home, your wife and kids, on my blog and then threatened you would you believe me then?
There is a lot of general knowledge public information out there about nearly everyone. This isn't a flaw, it is our society. In general it is a good thing. However what can be used for good can also be used for bad. Such information is why we know things like a governor selling positions. or cheating on his wife. Or getting a BJ in the Oval Office.
The "Flaw" as you put it is the original wikileaks. It is gossip, and general knowledge shared by many. it is what put societal pressure on people to do the right thing. However it doesn't always work.
No but that means the updates are being tested, which then pushes out to the distro's which test for compatibility, which release to end users, We are already into day 2 of a 5-6 day system.
batteries are far more useful than ink, therefore it will be $4400.00 per gallon thank you very much. And you will pay because you are suckers.
me I gave up printers a 8 years ago when i realized I wasted more ink than I used. Now when i do need the rare item printed I take it to work, or use someone else's.
for a small office running windows the end users HAVE to run as admin, as Most windows apps require it. My HP printer drivers, and a couple of other apps require my to be fully logged in as an admin or they don't work basically preventing me from doing most of my work.
I know this as I tried it as I don't believe I should run as admin. Since Windows and MSFT doesn't force developers to code to security standards, including their own. Running as a non admin in a real world environment is impossible. Oh and just to really make you scratch One of those mission critical apps crashes on install because it loads the win16 subsystem for running.
It gets updated 3-4 times a year but it still requires win16 components. MSFT has enabled that in 2009 that win16 parts are required still. If MSFT would let go of old and outdated parts like the rest of the OS world shit like that wouldn't happen.
You say that until at 6pm one evening your ISP suddenly starts throttling your net connection to "imrpove" customer service. And you either lag out of a game, or get your arse kicked because you can no longer defend your self.
Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it.
This recession without welfare == worse than the great depression. Indeed it has been welfare that has largely kept the recession from getting a lot worse. There are no food lines, few people flat out starving. those who have lost homes have found new ones.
Welfare has made this simply a pain. it may drag the recovery slightly. however it won't take a world war to do so.
Here is the point for your spot. You had a job, can you imagine the mess you would be in right now if you didn't have welfare covering your ass? You as a person and family would be bankrupt and ejected from your home. Welfare right now is making your life hard but possible. You are actually a welfare success story. We forget just how bad things would be right now without welfare. You say you are actively looking what happens if you can't find work in the next 12 months? expand out your bills then and try to imagine your life.
The people I am talking about aren't like you. You want to work, they don't want to ever.
welfare state created them that is total bullshit.
Without a welfare state they still wouldn't work, or care for their kids, or any of that and the entire family would be even worse off stealing for food, clothes and everything else. What people like to think that it is the government fault however some people are just lazy and they still wouldn't do anything if they had to. The only way to make that group actually work is to force them to go to work. and I do mean Force as those types of people are so lazy that they can't hold a normal job on their own anyways. They won't show up on time, etc.
Just because they accept state welfare doesn't make them lazy, they are on welfare because they are lazy. Learn the difference. as a work chain gang will be the only way to get them to do anything on time.
Welfare keeps them for being even worse off. What is needed is a way to tie welfare into a real job paycheck so you can't get one with out the other. Though that too will create other problems.
The apple touch pad supports not only scrolling but multiple mouse clicks, and right click all through ONE button pad. MSFT is the master of marketing. apple uses secrecy so that when a product doesn't have a certain feature(like WinFS in Vista ) they don't get bad press for years afterwards.
Apple's biggest reason for secrecy is so they don't let down fans with a product that can't pass QA at the last minute. MSFT and Dell will both ship products that fail last minute QA and "fix" them later.
There are three separate proposals in my home city that do just that. One of them wants to turn one big parking lot that is perfect for the small haborfest, and numerous other water front sports and races that are held annually with a marina, condos, and one parking garage, taking away all the free open space that boat trailers and cars can currently use. Such parking spaces are also used as parking for area restaurants as there is no other real parking.
In another proposal they want to tear down a couple of old building and a parking garage to build a train and bus station. Then to attract people to the station they want to build a theater there. Of course since all this is downtown there is no parking nearby, except for the old garage they want to tear down. The reason many urban cities fail int he UASA, is because they are unaccessible to any one who doesn't live there.
Shh cities that are actually smart about travel are hard to find.
Though my personal favorite is to tearup a parking lot replace it with a parting garage with half the car slots. And add in a new office building or condo complex. It is like they don't expect people to travel.
Though iwish city streets were drivable by permit only. Without a permit you haveto park at large garages with regular mass transit to take you into the city.
while you are correct, it does take risk, the trick is that risk is mostly made up of physically producing albums, and paying for a manager with experience to get them started. The studios charge artists $10,000's of dollars for studio time. Currently you can duplicate most of the functionality(if not know how) of major studios for $10,000 in equipment. but you only need to rent it. With digital copies or heck even self burning CD's like a lot of indie bands do you can produce up 50k cd's and millions of downloads easily. while you aren't making money the real money is and always has been touring. That requires a manager with skills and those don't come cheap, however if you are willing to work for your music unlike britiany, then such efforts aren't wasted. You may not own a fancy mansion and drive around in sports cars, but you can make a decent if modest living in such a way.
the labels basically provide money for studio, time cd presses, and managers. They also charge the artist for all of that as any good corporation would. however other than the manager the rest of that stuff isn't needed as much in this day and age. Treuly big stars will become big on teir own. Their talent can be heard.
even 10 years ago getting the word out to a mass market was hard. Now all it takes is a good song, and a facebook account. Okay maybe not uite that easy, but if oyu really want it it doesn't require a studio to loan you 2 million in startup fund only to force you to pay it back with 15% interest.
There will always be those with real talent to be a big star. The trick is instead of Britany spears type talent(all looks medicore everything else). You can get talent like Jon Lennon who could actually write his own music.
It's called politics. Edison new how to work the crowd, Tesla was a lunatic mad scientist. Edison new how to play the game of marketing, tesla annoyed his own followers. Edison was the Bill Gates of his day. an acceptable scientist, but a really good marketer. Tesla is like RMS. a mad scientist.
And who supplies the FBI and NSA's intercept software and hardware for all their warrentless wiretaps?
the Iranian country is small for internet access, and they have carefully controlled it from the beginning. The trick here is the no one can actually say anything as the same hardware and software is even used for LEGAL wiretaps by just about everybody. What is needed is for someone to make a second Internet and trick the world into using it before governemetns realize they can't control it.
Unfortunately idiots out number intelligent people. How many cases have you heard of where a kid postssomething stupid they did oy tohave their parents find out about it.
I don't face a facebook account(I am not narsisstic enough) yet I hear about that crap 2-3times a month.
Of course if you currently multiply the 100 million or more transistors in a current cpu by 6 you don't have any kind of problem do you? Of course a memresistor is closer in design to a permanent RAM Disk. You can turn off the system as much as you want but it instantly restores you right from where you left it.
Now that it is proven all that matters is figuring out how best to use it and what limitations it has.
The dirty tricks you mention are carefully protected by laws, limiting what undercover officers can testify with later. The wrong stuff looks like entrapment. There are checks and balances in the system from past abuses.

Laser eye surgery covers very small part of eye related problems.

if it runs Windows ME you just might.
that is only used by illegal P@P networks pirating copyrighted material. and thus should be filtered.

Your short about ~$250,000 a year. Figure $150,000 for pilots, and another $100,00 for naintence.
