Those plastic black window treatments you see on trucks and business equipment. Those are just an hard to break plastic, tinted like car windows(can't see in very well but out is fine). If you leave yur windows down just a 1/4 inch or so, the excess hot air climbs leaves the car, making the car just a couple of degrees warmer than the outside air, even on a hot day.
Second nice feature is that if it rains your car doesn't get wet.
If a thief first rips one off to help him get into your car, well he is determined enough to just smash the window anyway.

I have the same probelm, though not as severe. Myleft is massivelly dommiant, but I still only need slight corrective glasses.
What's really cool though is my periphial vision is awesome. if something moves(even shades of black) I react to it. I have learned to let my body react to certian stimuli.
Example, I was at the driving range the other day. I am still new so I was slowing my swing down to gain practice. I Sliced the golf Ball nearly 85 degrees It bounced off of a wooden post arced up and over where my shoulder was. I caught the whole flight stepped back and caught the ball in mid flight. I can react that fast by letting my eye(s) do the hard work.
Now I have another unique probelm when playing sports. I am left eye dommiant, while right handed. Making Baseball a royal pain.
One other side effect, in tense quick situations I have discovered I only use one Eye leading to jerky motion of everything. I guess processing two different eyes into 3D takes extra brain power that I don't have for that instance??? where can i install some more cache??

You know that whole dail-up patch thing is really annoying. if you pay per minute charges you are not going to be online long enough to for a trojan or DDOS to do much harm to you or anyone else from you.
Dial-up users should patch, but they can wait, becaue the amount of damage they can cause is extremely limiting.
It is those DSL, and Cable modem's from which the bulk of he probelms come from. Those people can and should download thoe 70-250 meg patches to update windows. The bulk of virus probelms will dissappear. yes Businesses fall into that category as well.

This is Slashdot, what percentage of the users here use Mozilla to view the site? What percentage use IE because they have to at work? It would make a good poll, which web browser do you use during the day, and then at night.
it does screw up some sites, but hey I think it's worth it. Then again I absolutely hate ads, on tv i change channels, in a paper they go right to the trash, online, I block them whenever possible.
Internet I was a darpa, then University gig. Today anyone an connect. What starts as a science project can morph into a life changing event that affects everybody. electricity, Telephones, Nuclear, Airplanes, Helicopters, Rockets, Transistors, computers all of them are just science projects.

That's like saying the entire internet runs at 56k just cause that's the speed the majority of us connect at.
No If you have a 30Mbps net connection you will rarely use it to it's full strength for some time. Possibly if you are doing Video communications will you use it up. It's more than enough for a small business website. It's more than enough current tasks.
As such ISP's will have time to upgrade the backbones to Internet II when it is needed.
In the future though I see a single communication line coming into your home. Off of abox installed in your house will come TV, Internet, and video Phone. Possibly using interchanged monitors.
Let's try it, Let's take an Office XP doc saved in the Office XP format and open it up in Office 97,
What it doesn't open properly? Geez that's A shocker.
Now you can save an office XP doc in office 97 format, and office 97 doc's can be opened in office XP but office XP doesn't open in Office 97.
MS does this because when one business upgrades, it forces the partners to upgrade as well. Why because most people have a hard time understanding what the different formats are.
No all you need to here about Linux is to listen to Billy Gates say it sucks again & again. Most people tend to gravitate toward Linux just to see what the whole big thing is. Some will like it, Some will hate it. The point is the more Linux is percieved to be a threat to the establishment, the more people will at least check it out.
The Biggest threat to MS isn't Linux, it's a viable alternative. MS rules because people assume their is no choice. Give them a choice and at least some people will switch.
The GPL is the only reason why Linux can become a viable choice. Anyone else could be bought out. Apple had a chance, and they may grow, but MSFT conviced the world that Apple was more expensive.
>>Not to mention, they actually have a nice R&D shop now, not just the pretense of one anymore.
Ah so they finally upgraded the Reverse engineering dept. It's about time.
Even if it is for a huge corp. It's not a good Idea to go back to that particular company. You shouldn't be working there anymore anyway.
Of course the difference between being fired, and quiting is very different. Quiting can give you a recommendation.

Well I can't tell you what websites but i can tell you it the equipment and services.
Of course anybody can guess this one

On the other hand this is a cool idea.
All day out in the boat, you don't need the ice very good.

I might not of been clear.
Yes a machine on a modem connection can get a virus.
It's only going to harm you though other they destroying your data, it will most likely not harm someone else.
It's the unpatched, no firewall, people with DSL, and cable modems that do the greatest damage.

usb to serial doesn't always work either.

3) A VCR tape seems to out last DVDs when invovled with children.
Hmm not sure if i want to disagree or agree. how about when ever a medium is involved with childern bad things happen to it??
VHS tapes, I have seen plenty of tapes literally worn out from being played over and over and over.
DVD aren't as physically as strong or reslient as tapes, but you can't wear them out. You can only scratch them which produces a similar effect.
As for FF it sucks majorly about DVD's, then again the only part you can't FF through usally is the FBI & Studio's screens.
You forgot your history. Everything that VHS did DVD is doing as well. Including old TV shows.
DVD give you more bang for your money, but that's all
Sorry gonna have to correct you.
Time Warner's Library is increasing in size, but not all movies that have been in the system are still there.
Time Warner's system gets bigger, but not all movies are around. There have been movies that I wanted to watch but was to lat and they were pulled.
On the other hand, Time Warner does always have a large selection of movies you could watch, including old classics for 1.95(Blazing Saddles anyone?)
Most Saws don't work well on humans and would cause scars. You need a fine tooth long blade in a Sawzall, in order to quickly producea clean wound.
Oh wait did yo want him to live afterwards???
In that case never mind. An axe will work just as well.
Nope SP2 isn't affected by any of these exploits, now they just need to release it. Oh wait it's still being developed.
But don't worry one bit folks, MS wll gladly install some new software bugs in SP2 so you are forced to endure the upgrade to Longhorn.
