    if we blow all out sunlight? what are you, simple? unless you invision the ENTIRE upper atmosphere coated in solar panels that's not going to happen for another few billion years.

    the main problem with current solar panels is they are piss weak and expensive. the manufacture of the cells is also more toxic then just burning the same amount of coal.

    bullshit, and you know it. wireless drivers, onboard drivers, 3d accerleration. they all SUCK to install on linux. not to mention specialised stuff like hdtv tuners.

    i've never been fired from a single job in my life, and i've always left on good terms. that's how most people i know leave a job, purely because they simply had a better offer.

    i have however had some managers who were pissed off i was leaving purely because i was leaving to make more money then them, and that i wouldn't be there to do their work all the time. that's their problem not mine though.

    the private files thing is total bullshit - we don't CARE abotu your dirty emails to your wife.

    accessing old work system is true i think... i know i still have access to places i setup 7 years ago, i login once a year to look at the up time on the system. it's nothing more then me checking on how my creation is going, if i saw a problem i'd probably report it to my old boss with a suggested fix.

    by the way, it's linux 2.4... 7 years up time on old salvaged hardware.

    you haven't sovled anything there chum. cross platform apps are easy with languages like ruby and python - i know i've written them. one central point of data is nothing unquie to web apps either. and the application is NOT accessable from any computer - it requires download and install privigles, negating the ONE good thing about web apps.

    what the hell is the benifit of web apps if they just shift dependancy from the OS to the browser? all their achieving is creating slower more limited applications.

    if we head in the direction of download first web apps.... how is this better then just downloading a compiled app? certainly not cross platform - you need IE or FF to run it.

    this does not work very well for the simple reason that once people realise they aren't geting a useful download from the torrent they are connected to, they cancel it and there goes your bandwidth. the net effect of this is you don't get ANY seeds and people avoid your torrent and you don't get much upstream bandwidth.
